Guild Wars 2

Though I would get some input on this
currently running a 6770hd 1gig (128 bit faster clock speeds) would this out preform the 4850hd 1gig (256bit in storage) in Guild Wars 2.

If guild wars does only use Dx 9c*? then is the 4850 hd a better choice.

The reason for the 6770 in the first place is i do 3d modeling part time and needed a dx11 card.

Also side note how well does GW2 do with Xfiring either i could get a 2nd cheap 6770 or sell the both as the are both mint and get a better card all together.

Though i would kill some time since all i can do is trading post due to lag atm.

6670 would be about 50-60% faster than the 4850

if you are going Xfire 6670, it is probably better spent getting a better single card.

However, remember that GPU is not the only factor in FPS performance, CPU is just as important especially as GW2 is very CPU-bound. (Read Q4 here 4 details)

the 4850 is around 2-3 generations old..that includes the technology used to build the card. the 6670 is the better card by a big margin

Xfire can work but it is going to be a power hog. I have Xfire 5770 which works pretty closely to a 5870, so it’s nice. But if you are buying a new card get a single and ebay what you have.

Thanks for the input guys. lowest FPS i get is around 31 fps when LA is packed out. FPS is not really a big one lag is the killer atm.

just out of curiosity, what type of processor do you have?
