Hello.

As of tonight, the 64 BIT client is patching at 3kbs.
Out of curiousity, I attempted the 32 BIT client and patched at 6mbs, very quickly.

This began occuring a few moments ago, after the client update.

Using -assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80 has not worked.

Ya I am getting about 1 kbps…. I know it isn’t my connection.

I’m at 20,000 and climbing.

Edit: Finished at about 23,000. So, not too big.

The 32bit client will download at max speed, the 64 bit hasn’t been updated i guess so we’ll have to go back to waiting til they catch up.

I just close GW2 when the updates are slow and restart. Took 4times in a row tonight to connect to a speedy download. Usually it only one or two times.

Yep, both my wife and I are downloading at about 3 kb/sec.

Working as intended..

There has to be an issue with the launcher, I’m only able to pull 2 kb/sec. Tested on ps4 and it’s not an issue on my end.

Same here, x64 client chokes with 1kb/s while x32 downloads everything in a blink.

3kps? Pffft I’m getting 1 kps, seriously though I’m not sure what is going on, I’ve heard it’s due to running the 64-bit client, though IDK how to fix the issue, I guess just wait it out?

Had same problem. Switched to patching 32 bit. Patched in about 4 seconds. 32 bit it is for now.

Yep. ArenaNet has screwed up the 64 bit client. If you currently need to use that client, please note that you are out of luck until they decide to fix it.

Your patch is downloading infinitely faster than mine, I’m at 0KB/sec. Strangely, despite a 0KB/s download speed I’ve managed to download 425KB so far.

Ditto, 32 bit works fine, 64 bit is 1kb/s download.
Would be great if they both downloaded the same stuff but no, apparently they don’t. I have the 32bit -image on a schedule but have to download stuff with the 64bit one every time, really annoying.

I wonder why we couldn’t get small patches streamed during loading zones and bigger by p2p network.

Can also confirm it’s the 64bit client. Mine was downloading at 1kb/s, when I saw you guys had success with the 32bit I tried that and it patched in less than 20 seconds.

Confirmed. The 32bit client downloads at full speed. 64bit client downloads at about 3kb/s.

Been this way since launch usually for me closing the client putting a US vpn and then reopen solves it but this seems to be a different issue this time around.

Only 64 BIT client is having this issue.
My 32 BIT client patched in less than 10 seconds.

Hey, you’re doing better than I am. I’m sitting at 2KB/sec. Did you have any luck patching the 32 bit version first? I’m wondering how long I’ll be sitting here.

Yeah I noticed this too, my client was going at 2-3 kbs which is slower than dirt, and taking an eternity literally.

Well it looks like I am not alone. I tried downloading and got only 1kb a second. So what’s going on?

Do I have to go back to the 32bit client to download this mess? I thought they fixed the 64 bit so we would have better speeds.

Tried patching the 32bit client (super fast) and then jumping over to the 64bit client but it still needs to patch. Just gotta be extra patient, I guess.

I had the same issue tonight with same work-a-round.

Anet – Please add a category within the client support button so you don’t have to sift through these messages.

Download on 32 bit client is fast. But when you later switch back to the 64 bit client it still wants to download stuff at 4 K/s.

Same problem here with the 64 bit client. Averaging 1kb/sec. I just wish they could get the patches right by now.

So even though the 32-bit updates normally…the 64-bit client still needs to update also in order to run. So since the 32-bit client doesn’t work (crashes), it’s nap time! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

2 KB/sec for me. And Anet does nothing, as usual.

I have no idea why but the latest patch cannot be downloaded with the 64 bit client (or it will take years to do so). It downloads at 0KB/s. Swapping to use the 32 bit client and the patch downloads as per normal.

Same here, 3-5KB/sec download of just the launcher, still haven’t even tried to update the patch yet…

1kb to 2kb per second here. Mostly 1kb. Unacceptable.

In fact, I am unable to wait for the download at this speed. I simply don’t have the time. I will try again tomorrow morning. I’ll have to play something else tonight.

2KB/sec……..ummmm, this is ridiculous. Using 64bit. So much for it being better.

Also having this problem. 1kb at most. Really starting to feel buyers remorse for paying $100 for this expansion…

Is it safe to assume this won’t be fixed till the morning everyones clocked off and gone home now?
