AMD FX 8350
Asrock 990fx. Fatality edition. It has solid gold caps and is around $99-130 depends on if on sale look on newegg
You are better off buying a G3258 and a half way decent motherboard then buying an AMD board for that FX8350.
And you’ll have several upgrade paths that will be more then viable for up to 6 years from now, where the FX8350 IS THE BEST chip on AM3+, and the AM3+ Socket is being retired in 2016 when Zen comes out.

That depends on what it’s going to be used for imo. For exclusively GW2 you’d be better off with the pentium but for general use/gaming I’d stick with the 8350 if I already had it

That lawsuit didn’t go through the is a true 8 core. Its 2 cores per modual think of 4 dual core CPU dies on the same PCB sharing a l3 cache.
If you have a specified budget, I recommend you the Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard, It is a cost efficient motherboard on which you can save some money for a better graphic card or other hardware as long you do not have it yet.
Does anyone can recommend a good mobo for this CPU?
Thx

Here you have a database for which main board that user on Overclockers forum have gathered together. Don’t go with any (cheaply constructed) main board with a weak Voltage Regulator Module (VRM) as that tend to cause heating issues as that part is placed very near the socket for CPU. Its main work is to control/transform Voltage from your PSU to your CPU and a reason that some people have had problems with throttling of clock speed for some or all cores.
Make also sure you will get a quality power supply unit as FX 8350 will draw some power and video card (even as those have become more energy efficient) will need a good source of power to avoid problems.
In short: what might seem to be a cheap investment when you buy a processor could cost you more later then if you would be getting one of Intels processor which is a bit more energy efficient (which also translate into less heat in your case = less noise from fans). One reason it have been very hard to find microATX main board is that VRM and other heat producing circuits need to have some space and AMDs chipset supporting FX are getting rather old compared to Intel’s LGA 1150 (which also are on its way to be replaced by LGA 1151). Hasswell had a “refresh” which means that there where also “new” generation of chipset (or older which had an update) to support those new generation of Haswell (LGA 1150) processor.
Guild Wars 2 and now Heart of Thorns are more depending on how efficient your processor work then how powerful video card you have in your system, so you would want a decent processor from beginning if you are going to play GW2/HoT. Most MMOs in general do put more work on processor then video card in this kind type of game. You can confirm this yourself by looking/google for benchmarks, FX 8350 and Guild Wars 2.
I would recommend that you also get at least 8 GB RAM or more as we today are in beta stage of 64 bit client and it seem to solve some problem related to out of memory (OOM).
So far I have these items on my list:
Initially I was thinking about this MOBO. here is the point where I am not sure, therefore my question: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LUY72F6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_3&smid=A1V6Z2X9I7KSQG
I know and I understand that Intel has better things to offer. But I am not looking that much into performance and quality, so AMD will do just fine for me. For years I was playing just GW. As long as this system will allow me to get some decent FPS on LA, WvW on medium settings, I’d be more than happy.
I think that the Corsair PSU will be enough for this setup. Even if I’ll OC the CPU. If not, I guess I can go up a bit.
PS: Sorry if any grammar mistakes. English is not my main language.

This one uses a 6+2 Digi+ VRM:
