Bad HoT serial code

He did that but we didn’t get a reply yet. I was mostly wondering if someone has had the same problem.
Odd. That doesn’t sound like any Serial Code we’ve seen before. They are usually a very long string of alpha-numeric characters. Five sets of six, or something like that.
As noted above, your friend will have to wait for the CS Team to assist him. He should receive the near-immediate automated response, and then must wait for his ticket to make its way through the queue.

The same thing happened to me. I received a serial code which is only 7 digits long. Obviously doesnt work. Now I get to wait hours – days in the support queue to play the game I have paid for.

Happened to me too, twice now. I sent a ticket for a refund on both copies. I hope they can fix this problem!

Happened to me, too. people suffering from this should get priority as they cannot play an expansion they have paid for.

I bought HOT, and in my email i got a serial code that says test. Obviously doers not work. Still a/w reply from support. Isnt really good enough as they were quick enough to take my money!
I did get a response. They said they are working on a fix for the issue, but have non at the moment :/
Then why dont they refund us for the moment it doesn’t work? Are they scared we won’t buy them again?

I have no clue, it seems easier to just refund people so they can buy it again. I would buy it again. I mean bugs happen in payment systems, and I really like Guild Wars since the original released so I will buy it. But maybe they are working on it and they can give al of us the key we should have had with the press on a button which would be a way easier.
Update. I just got a email with my payment information. I did not ask for it cause they already sent it to me. But in this email there is still no serial key. -.-
I got the same useless e-mail. An invoice, but still with the invalid serial key.
I didnt even get the invoice a second time…
got the invoice now, a pdf file… no serial code
Let me guess they al went home cause its late. Now we can atleast wait till tomorrow T_T And I’ve heard stories about people waiting for months! Did anyone try asking for a refund and then rebuy the game?

I have the same issue… got a test key for buying the standard edition for HOT. The team replied they are looking into it but no answer for hours now…. I used money for nothing so please hurry up fixing this!
I bought the standard edition of HoT and I received a code of 7 digits that has the word “test” in it.
After creating a ticket they said they are looking into it but nothing happened for like 10 hours now. Please fix this today as soon as possible because I paid for an expansion which I did not receive.

I had the same problem… went to buy the standard version for my friend and got a ‘test’ serial key back. Only response from them was to wait longer as they try and fix the issue.
same problem for me, bought the digital standard version and I only got a test234 serial key. I have opened a ticket, and still waiting….

Still nothing 15 hours later.
Some form of compensation would be appropriate I think.

No update what so ever…. I think no one cares. I mean most of the people that bought the game gave money and received nothing but frustration. They should have given the proper serial codes…. I mean how hard is that?! and yet they leave the buying service ON and more and more people get “burned”
I have had precisely the same problem for 22 hours and only received a notification that I would receive a response when new information is available. The money has been deducted from the bank account also.
We haven’t had response other than the “you will get a response when we have more information”. But I do think they’re working on it. Most cases take around two to three work days so yeah…
I guess we’ll just have to wait.
i actually got an answer, saying i should have already gotten a new code via mail, but i didn’t..
24 hours with no proper response is crazy. Not even an explanation or a refund.
chargeback takes 30 days via paypal at most. What kind of punishment game is this? And reddit doesn’t care. Looks like we will be ignored for a month.
Just forward this to someone and give us a status update.
So I got a reply from support and they said they have resent the confirmationmail with the serial code. However it is the same bad serial code as before… At least some sort of response.
Update: After replying to the mail the support has sent me a serial code which worked, however no bonus items were included, so I have sent another mail back. At least those things can wait.

Hey is this a bad joke? Are you not helping your customers? Give us the correct serial codes and for this delay you should also give us compensation because at the moment you have taken our money and gave us nothing, not even an answer?!
Why is there no one helping us but only automatic responses?
We did have a batch of bad codes generate last night.
Those impacted will get new codes via e-mail today. You may also contact support; but do keep in mind our billing team is very busy due to HoT and responses will take longer than usual.
I am looking into reports of bonus items not sending correctly.
