Yes, I can confirm that TP is back and running again. BUT…

For some weird reason I didn’t get the update notification only after activating my VPN. When I was on my ISP Proxy, it wasn’t loading the update and as a result the TP wasn’t working.

Activating the VPN, made the update run ver1.12 and the TP is loading now!!

Please somebody confirm if you have any related issue to this. If not, ANET PELASE HELP!!!

Hmm, I thought we were told that we were going to get patch notes for Mac as well in the notes? Obviously that memo never went around the Anet team. From what I can tell, the BLTP is now working again with the patch that went live a few minutes ago as of this post.

However, it would be nice to get a heads up with changes for the Mac client in the notes next time please (as we were told we were going to get).

Sometimes I wonder if people are lying. I just checked and it is most certainly not working. Also there is no update.

Let’s can the insults and “oh I wish Anet wasn’t ignoring us” crap though – They’re obviously on it based on the thread someone else posted hours back. Who knows how long certificate patching like that takes?

At least they’re working on it. Without an update, anything else at this point would just be coddling us through repetition.

And let’s not neglect that the issue is important, as it likely involves the protection of our personal information. I’d rather them take a few extra hours/days than have my credit card info become compromised.

Here. Screenshot. With your post in the background so you know it’s legit. Just because it’s not working for you doesn’t mean it’s not working for everyone. I find it insulting that you would even post such a comment here.

Works for me now, when it did not for most of the day.

I don’t see how it is insulting slightly. I was merely asking that someone claiming it is working to post a screenshot to validate the fact that it is occurring for some and not others. Would you mind posting your sys specs and what version of launcher you have please and thanks.

It is insulting when you are claiming people are lying and that they probably are not even Mac users. That is the insulting part.

To answer your question I am on a 2013 MBA with Mavericks. I can give the exact specs if you please. How exactly do I check what version of the launcher I have?

Just tested again not working, however I was able to get it working using crossover wrapper.

Well risa you can take it how ever you feel like you would like to interpret it. It was not meant to be would just be helpful of people to post showing it is working. So that those of us whom it is not working for can try and figure out why. It is quite counter productive to come on here stating it is working when in fact the majority it seems is not. So if anyone should feel insulted it is those of us in which it is still not working for.

How are black lion markets beginning to work on macs? mine hasnt been working for two days, still isn’t. Is there something i need to do besides going into application support?

That’s what I was trying to understand Mismagius but my inquiries were somehow deemed as rude or insulting. Rather than those who come on this thread stating its working with no real reason as to why and what separates them from the rest of us who are still having issues.

Still not working. Over 24 hours now

just wanted to add my disappointment in the game. I play on a mac and am thinking of leaving the game and going back of world of warcraft. seems that they just can’t get it so that the game is fun when you get your inventory full and go to the black lion to sell and it does not work. seems that something could be said that they are working on it or something. I have not been able to get in now for over 24 hours IT IS NOT WORKING

If you didn’t get it to update, you can do it manually by download this:

After downloading the patch, manually unpack it by double-clicking. You should find “GWII-Update-009741.tgz” after it finishes extracting. Open this app, and when asked point it to you GW2 client. If you are getting a message: “GWII-Update-009741.tgz” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”, you must allow third party apps in your System Preferences->Security & Privacy->“Allow apps downloaded from anywhere”

After the update is completed, try launching the game client.

Hey all, I am having this issues, I got this game just yesterday for the first time, and it hasn’t worked at all, and from my understanding there is some cool free stuff on there! XD
When I double click on the GWII-Update-009741 it says it can’t be updated on this version, please re-install… it took forever to install, why is it telling me to re-install?

WOOP, never mind, it was me still learning my Mac, got it to work! Been loving the game if anyone who see’s this cares! Appreciate the fix, even though I didn’t get the free transform crystals or whatever .-.

Well everyone I’ve been fortunate I missed out on major TP issues since the big update, on the whole it’s an improvement however the new traits UI sucks, what was wrong with the pull down system? Also the hero UI involves too much clicking, anyway about the TP. It’s a little slow to load at times though that’s no worse than it’s always been, the gamma issue still happens but worst is the 2 line prices still persists grr.

While Anet were faster by far fixing this recent issue with certificates, which I wasn’t affected by luckily maybe simply cos I wasn’t active during that time, I cannot say thanks as they have gave us no compensation for the issues over the last two weeks.

Oh and the new megaservers has only made towns become new LA’s in being overpopulated and slow to load argh but hey, let’s see what the free key gives!

(MBP 8.1, OS Lion I’ve had very few mac beta specific problems over the year I’ve been here so I have a hunch the beta maybe works best with 10.7 as it was made specifically for that OS, maybe we need a poll for what OS we run and how well the beta runs at least gives us some idea where the strengths and (many) weaknesses are for the beta, certainly not suggesting to change OS just for one game btw!)
