Just got an update, gem store and TP working fine for me too now!

You do realize that foul-mouthing the support staff doesn’t help…

If it still doesn’t work for you, you probably need to get your game client to update. See earlier posts for help about doing that.

Been going through the usual problems with trading post since I started completely playing on Mac. It was whatever cause I could fix it with a simple reboot or in extreme cases deleting the gw2 file. However, since the last couple of days, it was impossible to get it back.

Yep, seems to be working for me as well! Also, no crashing! Thank you, guys!

I was still having trouble connecting to the TP and tried the reinstall to fix the certificates several times, ending processes in the Activity Monitor, nothing helped. I found I also was having trouble connecting to the App Store, iTunes Store, etc. Turns out the culprit was Google’s DNS servers, which I had switched to a few months back when Sonic.net had erroneously blocked GW2.

Switching to Open DNS (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220) let me download the non-launcher build update and fixed my access issues with the Trading Post. Hopefully this solution will help out anyone who’s still having problems.

I haven’t been able to access BLTP since I purchased the game almost 3 months ago and theres been no improvement with updates or any of the steps suggested, its quite disheartening.

Strange. It’s been working fine for me every single day since late April.

Just wanted to say that the BLTC has been working for me consistantly since the last patch. Huge improvement!

The words wood and knocking have just occurred to me… :P

I go into the 4th round with TP issues…on my MBP (late 12, i7, 8Gb, mavericks) the TP works sometimes. On my mid 2010 iMac i5 12GB, mavericks i dont get it running. I completely deinstalled the game and reinstalled it…no effect. The kitten thing does not load. And if the blank screen disappears sometime i get a good oldschool entry mask with nice grey buttons and fancy font…..

Does anyone know how to fix that?

I haven’t been able to use the TP for a couple of weeks now, it might have been the May 20 update that triggered the problem this time. I have had lots of problems with the TP not working in the past as well, but it has always came back after a few days.

Is anyone else unable to accesss the TP? Any ideas how to fix it?

Can you guys stop breaking the mac users ability to use the BLT every time you update? It’s really really really aggravating. I update the client and again, no access -.-

Evidently I’m the only one who this is still affecting…? My TP has been down for over a month (won’t load at all) and it is seriously getting frustrating. Tried all the suggestions in this thread, and have been sending loads of tickets. No luck.

If anybody knows, gimme a heads up cuz i’m tryna fix this so that I can -play the game-.

Edit: Yes I am bumping an old topic, because I have tried everything else. Attached is my TP for the past month or so. The loading ring of doom. It never ends.

Hm, can you post details about what OS you’re running and whatnot?

The TP has actually be remarkably stable for me for the past few months (never once even having to restart the game to get it to load).

Tp is not working for a month now.
Any suggestions ? ( other other deleting the supporting file or reinstalling the game )

I fixed it, at least for myself.

As a background I can’t remember how long BLTC has been unusable for me, but it’s been long time (at least 12 months?) as I took a break from the game as I got frustrated of this problem. From time to time it has been loading but working really slow. 30sec-1min loading time for each tab and huge lag with interface. At the same time Google Chrome started working really slowly and after some time also my Spotify search started to lag in the same way. I though these were linked, but I never figured out what was the problem until now. I got back into GW2 and BLTC was still really slow, none of the tricks never worked for it. I was lucky after all compared to many, as it wasn’t always completely broken but practically unusable. Now I reinstalled Chrome to do some troubleshooting and noticed that it works pretty much all the time via SSH. And I guessed BLTC works via SSH also, because there’s money rolling and the whole game economy depends on it.

So I started to do troubleshooting and furious Googling about slow SSH connection issues on mac. And came up with solution that has now fixed my Google Chrome, Spotify and – wait for it – Black Lion Trading Company.

Here’s what I did (from the tips of that thread):

Made following ‘config’ file under ~/.ssh/
Host *
GSSAPIAuthentication no
GSSAPIKeyExchange no

Edited the following line in ‘/etc/sshd_config’
‘#UseDNS yes’ (the original line) TO -> ‘UseDNS no’

And restarted.

But remember to be careful as these are core files in the system. Be sure what you are doing. I don’t take any responsibility for there actions, but I can confirm that it worked for me, after I had tried everything with no success. If you need any further help ask here, as I will be monitoring this thread.

EDIT: I should mention that if this is the problem many people are having with BLTC there’s not much Anet can do to fix it. As far as I know there is no way for applications to edit these core files. Heck, even root user can’t edit those files with Text edit, it is shell only.

I’ve been unable to use the trading post or gem store since season two started? I’ve tried multiple fixes from this forum and the web and none of them seem to work. The thing is, my brother has the same type of mac and he can access the trading post and gem store just fine, which is weird, but makes me think there is definitely as solution. If anyone has any ideas for me, I would be grateful. Thank you!
