Can't connect to my characters
Ok, I just tried to go to Divinity’s Reach on my Guardian and I was able to get in just fine.
Now that I logged and tried to get back on my Guardian (since it’s in Divinity’s Reach), I get this error pictured here (just like on my other characters stuck there).
I get the same error, when trying to zone into Lion’s Arch, or try to logon to any character currently parked in Lion’s Arch.

Same here, 3 characters in LA and 2 in Queensdale and Black Citadel. I can not get in with the 3 in LA but i can with the other 2. Also getting the same exact message as Yppah. Hopefully they will fix this soon.
I am having the same problem. All of my characters are parked in LA and I cant access any of them. Furthermore I have noticed that on the character screen Daily achievement progress and game achievements and and points do not show up.
Oh yeah and can’t put in a support ticket because the support page isn’t working….
Forgot I left one toon parked in Divinitys Reach. I can log on to that one but none of the others parked in LA.
I’m getting the same error on my ranger when i was in Heart of the Mists i logged into my theif who was in DR and tried jumping into HoTM and got the error code again on my theif now too
I’m getting this issue as well for a few maps. One of the borderlands isn’t letting me connect and Caledon Forest now..
Any solutions to this?
I’ve tried resetting my modem and restarting my PC i think it is on ANET’s end but i really would like a solution to this i just got into a nice rythm with my ranger in PvP
I have the same problem and have been working with support on trying to fix it. So far I’ve tried: -repair -prefreset and /clientport 80, none of which worked.
A temporary solution that worked for me: Run Gw2 through a proxy (I used Hotspot Shield). I personally moved all my characters from LA to Divinity’s Reach. I really hate to pay for a proxy just to play gw2, hopefully this problem is fixed soon.

However, when I use a proxy I get no network errors at all.
I’m experiencing the same problem I have to guest into a different world(takes a couple of tries in order to get into the game). I sent GW a support request and they sent a tool to collect info about my PC so far. I can get into a PVP mach but when I come back to the lobby or try to join people on their servers I get kicked out.

On one account none of my characters can zone into Malchor’s either via waypoints or walking through the entrance. On the other account, I cannot log into the character parked in Diessa. Zones other people are experiencing issues with (LA, HotM, DR) I have no problem accessing.

Have 1 character that I can log onto that’s not in Lions Arch. If I party with someone from a different server I can log onto one of the 4 characters. The problem arises also when I try to way point into Lion’s Arch it kicks me off game and when I log back in the character is in the zone that I tried to way point from.

Looks like many of us in MA are having a problem. I myself have been D/Ced every time I try to change zones this evening. It seems to work alright while in a zone, but when I try to waypoint elsewhere I get the DC.
ive had this game almost two years and never did Spvp aside from the one here or there for fun and now ive finally gotten into it and this happens smh, MA gets all this crap weather an now connection errors cant we catch a break!!!

I ran a traceroute to the GW2 server I am on, and found 2 consecutive hops with 95-97% packet loss. I took a screenshot (image below). I continued to run the traceroute for 15 minutes, just to make sure it was consistent, and it was.

There was a period of a week or so sometime last year where I could not log into another MMO and as I recall, it was also one or two nodes in the Texas area which were giving the problem. Nevertheless and oddly enough, I am currently able to connect to a game with servers in that immediate area with no trouble right now!

Unfortunately, when it is a problem with a node like this there is nothing ANet can do. The problem is with part of the backbone of the internet somewhere between your house and ANet’s servers, and the company which runs that particular stop needs to get it fixed.
I’ve been on hold with Comcast for like 20 mins now, the tech was talking about sending a refresh signal to see if that helps ill let you all know

Sending a refresh signal just means that they send a signal to your modem to tell it to pay attention again. It’s one of the few things that ISP tech support have in their scripts to do. They are very rarely going to actually help resolve a problem.
In this case, the problem is not with your modem. It is with a datacenter somewhere in Texas that is along the path of lines connecting Comcast’s MA network to the ANet servers. It isn’t necessarily even run by Comcast. We just have to wait until whoever it is gets their equipment working properly.
Bear in mind that this may get very frustrating, as it’s not something that ANet can fix, and it may not be something that Comcast can fix, either. It could be taken care of tonight, or we could all be waiting days.
