-MSCONFIG -> Disable All
-Firewall allowed ports 80, 443, 6112 and 6600

Until now… no game :/

I am having the same error. I can see that you’re from Brasil, me too. Perharps there is relation. Please keep me informed through here of any changes, I will too. Are you aware of any other people from Brasil having the same problem?

Have the same problem, i live in Brazil too.

I was able to connect and launch now. Then I closed the launcher for the sake of testing, and now I’m unable to connect again. Seems like a strong interference of some kind but not a objective technical problem that we can address. At least I did nothing for temporarily being able to connect. Anyone had more luck? I’m probably keeping logged next time I can ;p .

It seems to be a problem with Brazil then. I even tried repairing the gw2.dat file, and nothing. Still getting the error message.

Well, I’m taking a break from trying. I’ll read a book or study – GW2 connection problems, good excuse. Please keep this topic updated and if you have other friends from Brasil who play the game tell them by facebook or cellphone or whatsapp or whatever to try launching the game, so we can trace how big the problem is. Keep the launcher up and trying to connect, that was how I could do it. I’m thinking we should report massively if it proves as a general issue.

Edit: If anyone turn out to be able to connect (as I did once) please post here.

Its back online, at least for me. Now my problem is: since I’ve tried to repair the client earlier it is downloading the whole game again. Should’ve waited longer before doing that ¬¬

I usually keep an .dat backup. Just in case. Downloading it sucks very very much.

Odd thing, I’m from Brazil as well, and getting the same error. Youtube and everything else working fine, no signs of lag.

My windows is in Portuguese, follow steps to change your DNS IP:

“Abrir a central de rede e compartilhamento”
“Conexão Local”
“Propriedades”
“Protocolo TCP/IP versão 4 (TCP/IPv4)”
“Propriedades”
“Usar os seguintes endereços de servidor DNS”

I change my DNS IP to OpenDNS, you can use the dns ip from google too.

You from Brasil too? Apparently beer.xyzw made it by changing IP. I just kept it trying to log on the background, and it ended up logging after sometime. If this change with DNS server, IP, anything (don’t know much about that) proves to be solution for more people, I think we could start to point it out as a solution, but it really need to be tested by someone else.

I’ve been having the same issue. It didn’t used to be a problem, but I am getting DC’d within 5 minutes of logging on in Caledon’s Forest. It happens constantly.

UPDATE: The only thing that worked for me was to delete my character and move servers. Since I did that, I have not DC’d once. I was on Devona’s Rest, and now I’m on Sea of Sorrows. I realize that this is not desirable for most players. My character was only level 12, so I could justify the deletion. For a level 80, I know deletion is definitely NOT an option.
