So I know there is alot of these post and im not sure whether I should write a ticket or not but here goes.

The classic connection error 7:11:3:191:101 problem which is a package loss from your personal PC to the GW2 servers. So i ran a diagnostic and found something i rather feel confused about. Im not a expert exactly on the subject but hear me out.

So this is the result

1 0 ms 0/ 50 = 0 % 0/ 50 = 0 % TECHNICOLOR [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
2 1 ms 0/ 50 = 0 % 0/ 50 = 0 % gw1-no508.tbcn.telia.com [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
3 1 ms 0/ 50 = 0 % 0/ 50 = 0 % fre-peer4-link.se.telia.net [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
4 1 ms 2/ 50 = 4 % 2/ 50 = 4 % s-b5-link.telia.net [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
5 1 ms 0/ 50 = 0 % 0/ 50 = 0 % s-bb3-link.telia.net [Censored IP]
1/ 50 = 2 % |
6 25 ms 3/ 50 = 6 % 2/ 50 = 4 % ffm-bb4-link.telia.net [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
7 27 ms 6/ 50 = 12 % 5/ 50 = 10 % ffm-b1-link.telia.net [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
8 —- 50/ 50 =100 % 49/ 50 = 98 % ncsoft-ic-306349-ffm-b11.c.telia.net [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
9 —- 50/ 50 =100 % 49/ 50 = 98 % 206-127-157-86.ncsoft.com [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
10 27 ms 1/ 50 = 2 % 0/ 50 = 0 % 206-127-158-1.ncsoft.com [Censored IP]

So as the showing results I just need to ask about the package loss because correct me if I’m wrong but is it not 98% loss at ncsoft?? right at point 8 and 9.

Another result:

1 0 ms 0/ 50 = 0 % 0/ 50 = 0 % TECHNICOLOR [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
2 1 ms 0/ 50 = 0 % 0/ 50 = 0 % gw1-no508.tbcn.telia.com [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
3 2 ms 0/ 50 = 0 % 0/ 50 = 0 % hy-peer4-link.se.telia.net [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
4 1 ms 0/ 50 = 0 % 0/ 50 = 0 % s-b6-link.telia.net [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
5 1 ms 0/ 50 = 0 % 0/ 50 = 0 % s-bb4-link.telia.net [Censored IP]
0/ 50 = 0 % |
6 2 ms 0/ 50 = 0 % 0/ 50 = 0 % s-b10-link.telia.net [Censored IP]
50/ 50 =100 % |
7 —- 50/ 50 =100 % 0/ 50 = 0 % amazon-ic-319927-s-b10.c.telia.net [Censored IP]

Here it’s a 100% loss on its way to ncsoft if im not misstaken. And i guess these two results shows where everything went south.

But what im asking in this thread is if im not completly lost in the subject.

How is this my connectivity going bad and not NCSOFT’s servers just trashing my packages sent?

Would really help with some answers and hopefully a solution for 24/7 errors, I cant even play anymore.

That first track looks like it is the connection between telia.net and the anet/ncsoft data center, so yeah, it’s worth filing a ticket with support.

PS: no point censoring the IP addresses, which are (a) useful for debugging, and (b) something you can determine by resolving those hostnames anyway. They are not “secret” though, and there is no particular risk from disclosing them.

Thank you very much for the answer! I just sent a ticket so hopefully it can be fixed. Thanks for the input kind sir.

That actually isn’t 100%, it means you can’t do ping checks on those servers (usually it’s like ddos protection, or similar that prevents you from seeing). If it was actually 100% lost, it would say 100.

If you look at the first set you posted, you have a ping of 27ms, then it goes to 2 nodes that can’t be checked, then 27ms at the nssoft server.

What is really nice about traceroutes, when you hit high ping, it stays at high ping as you go on. Since it went right back to 27, you can guess that you’re 27 at the 2 nodes you can’t get data on.
