Just reporting that I’ve recently been experiencing extreme lag spikes since this morning when the patch went live. This is notably unusual since through years of playing this has never once been an issue and began the instant I loaded in post Nov 1st patch. Usually every 10 sec or so I get a 5-10 sec freeze then the game catches up.

I’m having the same exact issue as well on my end after the patch. I was playing just fine last night, but now I’m even having trouble doing the simplest things like moving stuff around my inventory. Even using a waypoint can take ages. The lag is incomparable to the ones I’ve experienced before the patch and kind of makes it unplayable.
I’m experiencing severe FPS drops, like 11-15 frames per second even on low settings. Everything was fine before the weekend, I don’t know when everything changed since I haven’t played during the weekend.

I am getting ping spikes too. Usually average ~130ms in WvW. Pinging the server directly for 10 minutes was basically constant 115ms, but the spikes in game have been over 1000ms. WvW unplayable since the patch which really sucks since it’s the only part of the game I play.
Getting ping spikes here as well, on 2 different internet connections (one at home and the other is a student campus internet connection). They first started appearing 2 days ago and the weirdest part is the first time it happened my ping stayed at 1007ms (not avg ping, but the current value) for 5+ minutes until I decided to call it a day. It mostly starts spiking heavily when I see enemy players in WvW, sometimes the spikes happen even in spawn but generally it “only” spikes to around 600-700ms. Had them for 2 days straight now so WvW is mostly unplayable for me right now. I don’t remember this happening before but I’ve been having these spikes after the latest update.
Lag spikes increased in wvw since last patch. Skills seems to go off randomly, some not at all. Cool downs on skills without going off and never really sure where your character is.
The ping spikes and skill lag are caused by problems with your internet connection. If it was an issue with the game server then every single player would have them. Run pingplotter using the map IP you are in as the target IP. This will show you where the problem is.
I ran pingplotter for about 10 minutes.
No packetloss anywhere on the line.
However I was playing the game in the meantime as well and almost constant lag spikes and skill lag was present while at the same time on pingplotter there was no packetloss or high ping (nothing higher than about 130 ms cause I connect from europe to NA).
I’m experiencing these lags too, although they don’t really make the game unplayable (ping at 200-300 ms, vs 30-40 usually). They’re pretty well localized in time though.
I used Pingplotter a couple of days ago (playing from France, hours are UTC+1), the graph is in attachment.
Same problems, If I have to believe the game aint the issue, all though every time I ping I get a huge spike in the graphs. but they tell me its my PC.

normally when i play i will also have youtube running and gw 2 runs fine no problems at all.
currently though i am experiencing these severe lag spikes that kick me to character select in most cases and it is very frequent. occassionally it has booted me entirely from the game. youtube meanwhile has had no issues and is running just fine in the background.

I’m from Hong Kong and 200 ping is normal for me. after patch I would have some constant lag spike as my ping goes to like 500-1000 and drop back to 200. I tried to use cmd of windows with the command “ping -t” targeting the IP I got from using game command and notice packet loss, mostly when lag spike occur.
Funny thing is that I joined a T4 FotM game yesterday, with the same group for 2 fractals, and I only encounter the packet loss at the entrance island (pinged like 15 sec and have 1 loss giving result of average 4% loss) but for the whole run it’s really smooth. All zone travel send me to a new IP. I am computer noob and can’t tell what it means, but it makes me wonder if it’a mine or ANet’s server problem.
