Guild Wars 2

Hi! After the last few patches gw2 makes my pc freeze randomly. It was freezing every time i launched the game, but now that I installed windows 8 and formatted my HDD, it freezes rarely, but it still occurs. It actually froze just as I was typing this since I was alt tabbed of gw2.
Intel Core I3-2100 CPU 3.10Ghz
Ge Force GTX 560 Ti
8GB ram

If there’s anything else I can provide please say so. Im not that much into the itech.

Edit: It froze/restarted itself 3 times for 5 mins

if your using any driver higher than 285.79 the 560 is unstable usually related to desktop/firefox

has never been fixed and never will be issues start in the 314.22 drivers you may need to do a reformat if reverting does not help(ie you must have a clean install of the driver)

Thanks for the fast reply. It froze few more times since the post dang it! And yes im using the latest Drivers 352.86. So I have to go back to 285.79?

Seems like 285.79 doesnt support Windows 8.1, should I go ahead and install it?

I did installed 285.79 afterall and pc froze after 5 sec into gw2.
Installing the newest drivers now.

if you cant use the older ones then you will have to look into a replacment for the 560 it is mostdef to blame for the issues

to reiterate you have to do a reformat to clear out all of the drivers past 314 so its not worth the time.

in the nvidia control set everything to prefer maximum performance for power this should help the situation

it is a shame nvidia never fixed the issues with this card

Actually I kinda made it better. I still do get freezes/black screens but its much rarer. I underclocked my Core Clock MHz to 700
