I submitted this as a support ticket a while back before I found a workaround; I still haven’t heard of any progress from either Anet or MS on the underlying issue.

In Windows 10 Builds 15002 and newer, the game client must be set in Windows 8 Compatability Mode to play. Leaving it as stock settings causes Windows to mistake the game for a windowed session and results in clicking anywhere on screen returning the user to the desktop.

This has been tested with clean installs of Windows 10 150xx, GW2, and NVIDIA drivers. The issue is consistent and should be reproducible.

From what I have seen with this, it only affects NVidia hardware. This does happen on my GTX1060, but not on any of my GCN based AMD cards (7790, 290, 390x, FuryX)

So its probably something with the game code and Nvidia Driver settings then anything else.

I have 64bit Win10 16XXX w/a geforce 760 on 376.33 drivers and I’m not on compat mode. Though I did notice today on some of the map loading screens that there was a little flickering, but the maps themselves seemed to load a little faster. Strange.

It also affects AMD. I have a rx 480 and I have the same issue, yet compatibility doesn’t work. I’m forced to play in windowed fullscreen.

Btw, now that Tic Tac Toe you mention it, I’ve experienced the flickering since I upgraded to W10.
