Are you on latest firmware? You hooked it up on Sata 6gpbs socket? Your mobo on latest bios? Installed windows without any disks attached to the system? My vertex 4 128 behaves normally when what I asked are done correctly tho.

No zone takes longer than 4 seconds to load for me on my Vertex 4 256GB.
Windows 8 Pro x64, latest firmware/chipset drivers, plugged into a SATA3 port, and I am using the uncompressed GW2 client.

Mh…? I’ve been running my system over many months. Just after the contents patch everything got slower.
Id wipe the disk with the ocz linux tool and make a fresh instal right-away in a case like this since i dont mind spending time on refreshing my pc. If thats not too much trouble do it since you havent done a fresh install for like ages.
