… if you do some search, you will find out, that this issue seems to be known since 2 years!!! and got “re-introduced” with the camera-patch, as it seems.

I am a victim too, and it clearly is not a GPU related issue, as I have it on my nVidia-GPU, while others have it on an AMD-card.

It is somehow related to Win XP and the camera-patch, because on my Win 7-machine everything runs fine – like it did on my Win XP-machine before that unholy update :/

I was getting the dreaded c0000005 crash for a couple of days now, thought it was related to changes in the nvidia control center as the timing fit.

Using -windowed solved the issue and the game seems to be able to go fullscreen after that

It’s a little unfair from the ArenaNet. They did not even bother to tell us that the ridiculous camera patch suddenly change Windows XP to not supported OS. Now I have to spend ~ 73 $ (270 Polish zloty) for Windows 8.1 or wait for 10 and irritate playing in the window? There’s nothing like a patch to spoil yourself PR.

Same thing. Other people are having this problem AND it’s not just on Windows XP. (If it was They need to change the requirements before more XP users buy the game, if they are using the OS.) If they are not fixing it due to that reason, but this isn’t the case.

To be honest they should fix this as soon as possible. Best contacting them ASAP the more people report this the better.

I cant even launch windowed mode now, got BSOD and error meaasages “A disk I/O error has occurred. Guild Wars 2 will now terminate”.

As stated previously, this is a known issue. Because of this, we do not have the ability to offer support for this issue as it is something that the development team must resolve. They are fully aware of the issue and are working hard to get a fix available for players. The -windowed workaround is not a guarentee that the game will run without issue as it is only something we have seen help a handful of players. Due to this we will be unable to troubleshoot your issue further as the issue you are experiencing is directly related to the XP operating system you are using.

I would suggest keeping an eye on the official forums as this is where future updates on this issue will be posted.

Hey everyone, great news, today build seems to fix this problem already, now i can play in full screen without problem.

Tested Full screen today after the 3-31 patch and it worked!
Thanks to the Devs for fixing this issue.

Still not working in full screen for me

Same issue for about 3 weeks now.

I know thats an old topic but this issue happens again and again and is fixed sometimes. in my case it’s working by disable my crossfire setup but it’s stealing a few FPS and i fight for every single one of them , does any one have still the same issue without a CF setup?
