Guild Wars 2

Why does my guild wars account appear linked ingame but it tells me to buy it on the website? I’ve bought every guild wars dlc pack and the account has been linked to gw2 since launch. Could someone at arena net fix this?

You mean on the accounts page where it says “Game Accounts” then there’s a picture of the Guild Wars 1 logo and under that it says “Buy Now”. I’m pretty sure it’s like that for everyone regardless of whether or not your account is linked. Mine is linked and has been since launch as well, and it still says buy now down there.
However I could be wrong and potentially I have the same issue as you do?

Hmm….just looked at my ‘My Account’ page, it it has a ‘purchase now’ link on my Guild Wars, as well.

I really can’t remember if it has always been there, or it used to show the different Campaigns.

I did notice, however, that there are now the numbers 0, 1, 2, and 3 under ‘Other Clients’ for GW2 instead of the ‘Beta 64-bit’, so maybe the page has changed. /shrug

good to know I’m not the only one with this issue. hopefully they fix this soon. its annoying.

I’m not sure how annoying it is; I don’t often check the ‘Content’ page and it doesn’t seem to have any effect whatsoever on either game. /shrug

The one thing that is affected is the link to download the 64-bit client.

I’m sure someone will attend to it presently.

I go between wow and gw2 frequently so I usually download clients for one game at a time. It’s tedious but that way I’m not stressed over quantity of games on my MacBook Pro If I have only one of the two games on it. I can’t afford to buy wow and gw2 things. So I decide which game is more appealing at the time

Fixed for me as well. I imagine there was an error with the code on the webpage which someone has ninja fixed.
