High-end pc - FPS stuck on 20
This is normal, set sampling to normal, turn off reflections, turn character limit to med. These will have some of the bigger impacts on FPS, then see what you are running.
Thank it’s great now! i didn’t know gw2 can look so good if i knew i would have upgraded my pc sooner
Edit: i noticed i have a small lag sometimes. it really is random, the lag is about 1 second late maybe a bit less. What can be the problem?

if the lag happens when you open the trading post, it’s a known issue for all of us, other than that I have no clue
Someone say game crash must be related to OOM
when you read the log it’s not related to that whatsoever…
no it’s not the trading post, it’s like the skill command not very responsive, sometimes i need to press twice for a skill to work…
Are you playing WvW or at big world events when this happens? Skill lag in these areas are common, and tend to happen anywhere there are large amounts of other players.
Lag, also known as latency, has nothing to do with your graphics. It’s quite literally the time it takes for your computer to send your commands via the internet to the datacenter running GW2 and that same datacenter responding to your computer, again via the internet, as to what’s changed in the game world.
There’s not a whole lot you can do to reduce your latency. If you’re in the EU and you’re playing on NA servers, or vice versa, you could get improved latency values by changing to your own region’s servers. You could shut down other programs running in the background that also use your internet connection, such as Skype, Mumble, internet browsers or the like. There are some additional odds and ends that’ll shave a few milliseconds off your latency, but they’re too numerous to detail here – just have a search on Google for “reduce latency” and you should find some.
Again, to reiterate, latency has practically nothing to do with your PC. It is mostly subject to the amount of traffic on the lines between you and the server.
If you are allergic to these ingredients, do not consume.
My specs are similar to yours except I have a GTX 780. Are you using windows 8.1? I place everything on medium and most of the time get around 30 fps even when I put the frame limiter to 60. I check my temps on my CPU and temps go around 70 degrees Celsius as the game is primarily using the CPU rather than the GPU. I have no frame rate issues on my old computer which runs Win 7, GTX 570, and i7 940. I actually get better FPS on my old computer. I think Guild Wars doesn’t work well with something in our setups, maybe they haven’t coded for the new Devil’s Canyon 4790 processor.
Interesting. I run everything maxed with supersampling and I usually have no problem getting 40-60fps (R9 290). The main problem is when there’s a bunch of people around, in which case you just aren’t going to get high fps. A 770 should have no problem running the game at 60fps at native resolution though. Try putting shadows at medium maybe, that usually gives me a large fps boost.
