Q:

A friend of mine visited a couple weeks ago and I let him use my GF’s computer to play GW2. When she tried to login to play the next day her account was disabled. Part of this is she had just changed her password and she may have locked herself out (she had the box checked to remember password and because he logged in that obviously was gone with her new password) but I want to make sure that having two accounts showing up from the same IP / MAC won’t trigger an account suspension, as I now have a couple other friends coming up for the weekend who both also play GW2 and are banned from our computers until we make sure they won’t get my GF and I’s accounts in trouble!

Thanks in advance for the help!

A:

Having more than one account on a single computer is ok. After all, some families have multiple accounts and and just one computer. I can’t recall having seen anyone getting flagged for disallowed activity simply on the basis of the accounts and the computer they use to access the servers.

Thanks for the response Gaile! I talked to her again and it was definitely a matter of her forgetting her password, not her account being suspended. I apologize profusely for the false alarm though I do very much appreciate the response. As always, Anet is awesome!
