Generally Monday to Friday I play from 19:00 to 23:00 hs. On Weekends from 7:00 pm to 23 pm.

Today less than 30 minutes into the game, got disconnected 12 times the game … and I believe that the problem is not with the firewall on my PC or AV, because I have disabled the firewall on both.
Please help me … I do not know what else to do.

I don’t really understand why the “big” investigation is starting now after a 16 page thread concerning the same problem. As far as i know a investigation was conducted and it was pointed out that the problem with error code 7 is not in ArenaNet’s servers but in the users. ( Their ISP was accused).
I can surely share with you my experience regarding this error. For this two weeks
( everything for me started since the October patches, before that i haven’t had any disconnecting problems) i managed to play 5-6 hours in total, while trying to log in desperately every day. Yes, sometimes i was entering the game and the majority of times i had lag and disconnections due to error code 7 when zoning. Interestingly enough my friend living in the room next to mine (using the exact same ISP as i do) is not facing this error 7 and i can log with my account through his PC. The frustration is enormous, because there are no answers and the people suffering from code 7 are not 10 or 15.
This morning i entered and played for about an hour. After that started the lag and error 7 on loading screen – the old story. For a second i thought i might play this weekend as before but i was wrong.

I posted this on another thread but i saw at the end they wanted us to post here i dont know if my issues are the same but im getting DC issues after october patchs.
I been having issues as well except for me i been DCing every 20 to 30 minutes , it only started happening after the patch on the 11th before then it was completely fine, its blaming my firewall/antivirus/campus , i dont live on a campus and i turned off my antivirus and firewall and ill still receive the DCing issue ( DC = disconnect)

Im usen the smcd3gn modem and the intel boards dh61cr , i dont have a guild wars account so i cant try, im playing in canada ( home ), and i play anytime between 11:00am to 1:00am ( (UTC-04:00) Atlantic Time (Canada) )

There should’ve been an investigation a long time ago before they blamed it on our ISP Providers.
- Don’t have orig game account
- Home / US (Florida)
- I play whenever. I can be kicked at 1 am or 3pm doesn’t make that much of a difference. (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) for timezone.
I can’t play this game 90% of the time because of this error and have been getting it ever since i got the game . Ports are opened firewall down..ive tried using different servers and even spotify in the background. Nothing has worked which has created a very unhappy customer. No other game i have played has EVER given me so much trouble. Hopefully anet gets this fixed fast already so i don’t have to whine like a little kitten and instead enjoy their game.

I was getting error as well. I tried everything except disabling WAP on my router. I did this and it seems to have helped. If you haven’t done so try it. May help, may not.

If it helps, I am only getting this in Queensdale when I am on an alt. I did path 1 and 2 CoF with no issues. When we were done, and I went back to my alt, I was getting the lag/etc again.

I also went to Frostgorge and other high level areas with not connection issues at all.

Perhaps it is something with the servers that the low areas are on.

Been happening to me since the last October patch. I used to have this issue constantly, but then two weeks prior to this things seemed to have cleared up. I had about two weeks of gaming without many (re: maybe one Network Error/7:11) problems in all that time. Now, suddenly, I am getting this every three to five minutes upon log-in.

I am in Washington state, in Anet’s backyard.
My timezone is Pacific Time (-8:00 UTC).
I play anywhere from 4PM – 12AM.

The game is consistently lagging from my location, it just results on an Error 7 like every half an hour, but the lag is really terrible.

Guild Wars took a long time to load/start, but seems to be working.
Played Guild Wars 2 from start and was fine this morning and afternoon. This evening I’ve been getting the error 7 disconnect over and over.
I am in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Everything else seems fine (Ventrilo, Mumble, Firefox, …).
I have tried 2 ISPs (Rogers and Bell—different modems…); both get the disconnects.
So, roughly 7 – 10 pm Eastern.

Varies. Normally play between 18:00-00:00GMT always have the issue however….
Thursday night was having the problem until around midnight. stopped between midnight and 14:30
Yesterday (sunday 14th) problems between 13:00GMT and 21:30GMT, then at least 4 hours uninterrupted play until until I logged off between 1-3am

Overflow server issue? (an observation)
It dawned on me this morning that I had not been put in an overflow server during any of the time that I was having a problem, even though I was moving too and from high traffic zones (Frostgorge, Blazing Steppes, Spark Fly Fen, Lions arch etc.). However, I did see myself being transferred in and out of overflow servers occasionally after 21:30GMT (when travelling to Lions Arch). As I spent most of my time later in the evening working in lower population zones doing personal story quests, I thought nothing of the fact that I wasn’t going into overflow servers. But the fact that I had tried to spend the entire afternoon/evening before this in those high population zones previously mentioned, and never once got put into an overflow server, seems, in hindsight, rather strange.
I am not computer savvy enough to know if this is a factor but it is the only observation I have seen since the error 7 code started appearing a week ago. Whilst I have tried a number of the ‘potential fixes’ from the forums, the brutal truth is that this issue did not occur once for me prior to Sunday 7th October. My system has not changed, therefore logic dictates it has to be something that has changed at the server end. The only inconsistancy between play before the 7th of October and play after has been the instances of being put into overflow server.
I have attached my -diag log for your reference.

Any feedback posted on the forums (even if just we are still working on it) would also be great help to the community moral.

- I’ve been trying at nearly all hours of the day, I get on anytime from between 0500-0200 hours local time and can’t manage to stay on for more than 5 minutes before the error pops up, am +8 GMT

As a side note, I have a laptop with crappy specs compared to my desktop, they’re both in the same physical location and are connected to the net via wireless router, so far I’ve had no trouble staying connected to the game while on the laptop, on the desktop it’s a horror story, can’t stay connected for more than 5 minutes and even then, there’s massive, massive lag before I get d/c.

Happens all the time now seems more frequent at high density times, I play in the GMT-5 time zone

For me it seemed like this all started happening after the asuran patch on 10-11-12 no settings on my side have changed and I did not have this issue thursday evening but I did when I played on Friday 10-12-12

Game is essentially unplayable now as it boots me about every 5 minutes. I played since a week after launch almost every day for 4 hours or so a day with no issues.

At the beginning of the game it was doing it non-stop, I couldn’t ever get on. Then for like 2-21/2 weeks it was fine. I really do think that after the 10.11.2012 patch was when it started acting up again. My roommate plays anytime he wants as well, right next to me.

Solution that worked for me now, I had it posted in the old thread but copy it here too. Perhaps it might help

I stopped getting the error message when switching to a cable instead of wireless.
So something must go wrong on the wireless part.
Got new cables/modem etc from the provider still same issue.
Then they told me to switch the wireless channel.
It seems in my neighborhood/neighbors, they used often the channels 6 and 11 for broadcasting.
The showed me how to change the broadcast channel of the wireless router to one not used by my neighbors.
This seems to fix the loss of packages.

Well first I’d like to point out that I have had Gw2 since it came out and everything was fine till today. I went into the ac with some friends and thats when everything went bad. I got logged out 5 times in about 15 minutes. It would say couldnt connect to server try again in a few minutes. But it has been pretty bad after the last update it seems and I havent changed anything with my computer. But anyway.

Just thought I’d post a little extra information which may prove helpful.

tl;dr – I got 2 characters stuck by using the Divinity’s Reach Asura Gate from Lion’s Arch.


I had a character blank out today using the Asura gate from Lion’s Arch to Divinity’s Reach. At first I got an error 5:11:3:157:101 and kicked from the server.

I was able to log-in and get back to the selection screen. It tried to change maps from LA to DR and kicked me again.

I decided to try another character at this point. I was able to play without a problem. Being curious, I tried to duplicate the error. So I went to LA and tried the gate to DR. About 15 seconds later I noticed the “rubberbanding” effect and got kicked with error code 7:11:3:189:101.

Subsequent attempts to use those characters have resulted in the error 5 and error 7. Other characters NOT in Divinity’s Reach are unaffected except for some significant lag spikes every now and then.

3) i usually get dc or delays when evening ph time around 6pm onwards. what happens is guild tab wont load friend list wont laod stuck on map loading screen im not sure if its a bug or net trafic what im sure is this problems makes me wanna quit. i know you can identify the problem. and also i test my ping to dallas tx and usually i get 200-250ms so i dont know if its latency issue.

— I can play it however I do get the error 7 frequently. For me it primarily happens in specific situations. When I zone into a dungeon or another zone, I will get the error on the loading screen. When I get back in game, I can normally zone into that zone or dungeon without getting the error 7. It is guaranteed to happen 100% of the time when I zone into a new dungeon or zone. In WvWvW I get it in heavy attacks and heavy defense areas.

— I play typically Monday – Friday 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM CST and a good portion on Saturday and Sunday throughout the day.
— All throughout the day when I zone into an area it is guaranteed to happen. It doesn’t matter what time. In WvWvW however it does occur more during peak times.

And pick a time i get disconnected high periods of use or low, while doing activity, middle of a SPVP match , changing maps, in WvWvW, doing events.
Also should mention, usually get 2 minutes of action lag, where i cant do anything, i can move and push buttons but nothing happens, and yet i can have a conversation in chat in real time. then i get dropped to the char select screen. Had this since day 1.

The most recent patch (the one which added the Mad King Chest recipe) started giving me connectivity issues for the first time (going back to all the pre-purchase beta weekends + stress tests). I can play for anywhere from 10-30 minutes before getting disconnected. I’m able to get right back in from character select. Also, I have not ever used the mobile authenticator at any point if that somehow helps narrow it down by any chance :P
