This is now at least the 3rd time i actively notice the game going through insane lag-spikes with ping-times jumping from 85 ms to over 4.1k ms. One thing i do find a bit suspicious is that so far these problems always seem to occur anywhere between 17:00 and 20:00 (CET, Germany) and usually persist for about 30-45 minutes before things seem to settle down again.

During these times i can use Internet for all kinds of activity without issues. It’s just Guild Wars 2 that keeps going through these insane lag-cycles.

I know there are other people out there that experience similar connectivity problems to the Guild Wars 2 servers. I am just curious to see if there are other people out there that can confirm a similar timeframe.

Mine is a different but similar issue that occurs at around the same time.
16:30 – 19:15(GMT) my ping increases by about 100ms.

Ping Plotter says that ncsoft servers are the culprit.

This problem has started 1 week after HoT came out and has never been resolved.

Been having the same issues. I logged onto some other mmo’s and they ran fine so I’m thinking the problem lies with GW2’s servers.

I usually have good connectivity but I just got done with Triple Trouble a bit ago and I had DC’d multiple times. I was luck to get back in the same map. I went to Lions Arch from there and was still lagging. This almost never happens, no matter what I am doing. I even turned down my graphics, which didn’t help at all.

From what I can tell the Anet servers are in Austin Texas and Austin is having some outage problems. That is probably the reason. My connection has been lagging for over a week because my connection goes through an area that is having outage problems as well. It seems like there are outage issues all over the US.
