Guild Wars 2

Hello,

I primarily use my right mouse button (holding it down) to move my camera around so that i can see, while i use my WASD keys to move my character. This worked amazing for the last 4 years.

However, since the last big patch, i’m finding that when i hold down my RMB to swing the camera, it will occasionally ‘release’ my view, and my cursor goes flying off to the edge of the screen ,while my camera stay fixed on whatever position it was at, when the RMB released.

I usually played in windowed mode, but i found that i’m having this issue even with full screen, and its making the game VERY unplayable for me.

I’ve also tried the same mouse, with the same settings in another MMO, and i’m having no issues there. Please advise, and thank you for your time.

This problem has been around for a long time – there were devs that responded to it (both on here and reddit) but I never saw it resolved or what caused it. Personally I had tried 4-5 mouse which were not all the same manufacturer and still encountered the problem. Yes, cleaned, and few new. Atm I am not having the problem where I cannot right click mouse and it doesn’t “latch” or it releases randomly, but after you mention this I will be fearing if it comes back again [since it is so random between patches]. I thought possibly that it may have been either something to do with lag, or mouse dpi issues (for some it may have been a switch on right mouse button that needed cleaning). I am primarily a WvW player so I see this happening mainly in fights but I’ve seen players mention they get it in pve and elsewhere.
