Lagging after patch today..
Yep, latest patch runs CPU usage up to nearly 70% and lag is horrible.
lagging badly, my internet is fine
I am seeing the same issue. 1-2 second delay on skill activations. In-game ping fluctuating wildly, from double digit numbers up to 500.
Other games/programs are responding just fine. Ran a speedtest via speedtest.net and my connection is running at max capacity.
Only change since this morning (when I last played) and now was a patch roughly 56 mb in size.
Edit: I do recall there being some sort of errors with loading into certain zones yesterday and this morning EST (I was not able to wp to Frostgorge around 10 AM EST). Based on threads I just saw here, that issue appears to be addressed, though.

Seeing latency after the patch today as well.
I notice that I drop pings to the remote server 64.25.40.118 quite frequently, with a reported latency of 245ms.
I see ping drops to 64.25.38.51 as well but not as much as to the server above, the latency to this server is reported as 78ms.
There is skill delay of about 1.5-2 seconds.
Hope this can be worked on.
Same here 210-230ms like 2 sec delay
I’m having very high latency issues too. The ping keeps spiking from double digits to 500, sometimes 1,495, and then going back down to double digits for a very brief time (a matter of seconds). It then spikes back up. The game is unplayable. Please look into this.
EDIT: I’d like to clarify the latency issues, for myself anyways, started BEFORE the patch hit today.

I’m seeing the same thing. Higher than normal average ping with frequent spikes. Skill activation is delayed by full seconds. A mob went and made sandwich while we waited on 100b to activate. The game isn’t playable in this state.
Thanks!
Same thing going on here, EST Region. Horrible skill lag and rubberbanding reported by my fellow players. Ran a tracert to www.guildwars2.com and have consistent packet loss when I ping those servers from the tracert. No packet loss when trying to ping non-anet ip addresses. My ISP is ATT Uverse and doesn’t have any “known” issues in my area at this moment.
I’m in CDT. The lag started when I logged on today. Normal ping and up/down speeds with speedtest.net, but inexplicable delay that swings unpredictably between 1-5 seconds.
GW2 is unplayable right now. I have several guildies also affected but the majority of players aren’t.
2-4secs delay on skills and while monitoring the ping in game I had 150~1.500ms fluctuations with an average of 500ms.
I did my regular TS at home power cycling stuff and tried other games, everything else seems normal but GW2.
Even a few hours later I tried again and I got similar results spikes go up to 1.500ms.
I was planning on grinding this weekend but this is unplayable
A few players on the instance I was in also reported similar spikes
Additional details:
Specs:
Windows 7
i7 3770k
16gb ram
GTX 780
Location: Costa Rica
Usual ping: 100-200ms
ISP: CableTica

Same issues as others have reported. Ping has spikes, but there is a constant delay of 0.5 secs on all abilities. The delay can spike up to 4 seconds. Game is unplayable.
This has been the lowest my ping was all day since patch. Most of the day it was over 1k…. Done my usual pingtests and such, my network comes back clean. Just GW2 doing it too, all other online games run fine.
The skill lag is terrible, please fix it.
Game was fine for me, on both of my accounts, NA and EU, until this last patch.
Now it’s super high ping, chat/skill delay sometimes in excess of 5 seconds.

My ping just went over 2k, it is now totally unplayable. My NA account seems the worst, but my EU one is still hitting pings upwards of 300+

~I could promise you the same…but it would be a lie…
Edit: Well, just logged in for a bit it whatever the issue was seems fixed now.

I logged in just now, checked the ping, saw 3.7k…logged off. Will continue to do this every day until it’s fixed because there’s on point in sitting there staring at an unplayable game.

T E R R I B L E, i cant play on it…
I’m in the same boat. Never had a problem with guild wars 2 until today. FPS went from 60’s to 10 or lower.. unplayable for me.
I7@4.0 Ghz
16Gb Ram
Nvidea 970 GTX
SSD HD
windows 7 64 bit.
i never had problems with gw2 or lag unless if i were in a large population area or zerg but man last night and today my ping has gone from a normal day 30-70 to 50-425 at random times in wvw and pvp. so embarrassing to lose and blame everything on lag and key strokes that the server cant detect
So update: thus far my ping has stabilized around 140-150. That’s still high for me, my ping usually never goes over 70, but it has at least stopped going into the thousands for now. I still don’t feel like this problem is fixed and hope it doesn’t get glossed over like it has so many times in the past. This is a recurring problem we seem to keep having every few months….
