Launch to black

I installed GW2 on Saturday. It worked fine until yesterday afternoon when I believe there was a patch installed.

Now when I try to launch the game, I just get a black screen with the GW2 courser. I’ve updated my OS X 10.8.4 system. And I have looked for bugs using the methods described on this forum. But I’m convinced that something in yesterday’s patch threw my system out of wack.

Are other people experiencing this and do you have any advice?
