Why Guild Wars 2 is the longest loading the game in history?

i use an SSD and i have character models on lowest. Loads pretty fast for me. Try lowering character models to the lowest if you haven’t already.

Getting an SSD greatly helps, There isnt any zone that needs more than 10seconds to load.. even with LA before it only took 6-7seconds with an SSD.. with a regular hdd it may take upto 1-2mins.

I have a regular HDD, everything set to highest and I’ve timed the load screens and even the time I thought it was taking “really long” it was only like 17 seconds (which was entering Old LA during a holiday).

Depends on your hardware and connection. I have a high download speed with high ping and an SSD and the game loads very fast.

SSD really does the trick.I switched from a regular HDD to a Samsung evo 840 250GB,and my loading times have been drastically improved to around 10 sec the first time you load in the game,and depending on the zone and population the regular loading times scale to around 6 – 10 sec.PvP maps loads almost instantly.

Bf4 also has insane loading times on a regular HDD,but with an SSD thats also down to around 5 – 10 sec.It will really be a good investment,just make sure if you do..you buy a proper SSD and read some reviews from it first.

I have 2x SSD’s in Raid 0 and loads are fine for me.
