Hello, i got my account permanently banned. I have sent a ticket that has remained unanswered since one month. I have done nothing wrong that could have resulting into my ban. I would like an explaination, a reason of my ban. I was told that some people got ban after using some vpn, and I use a vpn called hoxx while Im on the web, maybe it is related to my ban… i hope i’ll get an answer about my situation. Thanks, and apologize for my bad english.

You can post your ticket number in the Sticky above, ‘Tickets for Review’, though after one month the ticket may have been closed. If so, you would have to create a new ticket.

If you did not receive the automated response, you can peruse the Sticky above, FAQ, and look for the threads about ‘Not receiving our Emails’.

Good luck.

I get the automated response, but nothing else since then… I will post my ticket number as you say. And create a new ticket too, maybe this time I will get an answer. Thank you.

Do NOT create a new ticket if you haven’t already and close that new ticket if you have. It will slow down the response.

ArenaNet has been known to ban everybody on an IP address. If you used a VPN service, it is possible to get banned along with other people. It’s not like using a VPN is a bad idea, because there are useful services that actually help in reducing latency, such as WTFast for example. However you share IP addresses with other people. Thankfully it’s possible to identify if somebody is using a VPN in a good number of cases, and in fact, such services like WTFast boast about how they reveal your true IP to the game server before working via their private network.

Just need to file your ticket number in the appropriate sticky thread, and close any extra tickets you have open, and keep the main one open. Creating new tickets causes the case to be pushed back.

No, we don’t do that. I asked years ago about IP blocking and I learned that doing that can be risky, in that you may think you’re blocking a problematic player from rejoining the game, but in fact are taking out his/her entire apartment building, college, or neighborhood. Obviously, that would not be desirable.

If your account was banned, you would not be able to post in the forums. If you are writing about an alternate account, follow up with Customer Support in a ticket, and be sure you make it clear which account you’re discussing.

This is not the place to discuss, debate, or ask for the escalation of support issues. You have posted in the only thread in which questions about tickets are allowed, and you will be answered as soon as the team is able to do so, in the order of inquiries received.
