Hello all,

About a month ago I tried to convert 4000 gems to gold. The transaction did not go through due to the market having issues. I still had all of the gems and thought, “I’ll do it later.”

Fast forward to later, I am down 4000 gems. No gold to pick up from the market, none in my bank, none in any character bags and no mail with the purchased gold inside.

If you’re wondering why it has taken me a month to post this, its because I tried to go through the support ticket system. After beating around the bush with repeated emails saying “we found the problem, just hold on a little longer” I get this (names redacted) :

“Hello,

Thanks for contacting us!

I am very sorry to hear you’re having issues with the in-game currency exchange. We have received several reports of players having similar issues and we have forwarded all the appropriate information to our Quality Assurance Department. They will be trying to resolve this issue as soon as possible but I am afraid we currently do not have the ability to correct the issue and we are unable to reimburse you for the losses you’ve reported. I’m very sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this causes you. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. If you have any other questions or concerns about this or any other issues, please let us know."

This is after support stated that it was a known issue on their end, and they were working on a fix.

This seems unfair to me, and I really want my money for this transaction back. It’s not as if I want to refund my beloved game, just this purchase (which I would use to buy more gems.) I bought 3 accounts in GW1 and all expansions with it. I also bought 3 accounts in GW2 and 8k gems.

Please help me resolve this, maybe point me in the right direction for a fix? Or just make me feel better about losing $50.

I just had the same thing happen to me yesterday (I bought 20 black lion keys 4 sets of 5) so I only lost 2200 gems but same thing. I sent in a ticket yesterday and havent heard anything yet.

Hi, this is very likely not the same thing.
this is a 5 months old thread bout an old issue that has only vague simularity’s to yours.

Support will and can help you as long as you keep two things in mind.
a: it can take up to 72 hours to get a reply.
b: if, after numerous tries and waiting the queue you feel you are not being helped right you are entitled to appeal, but not before you have givent hem a fair change.

If support doesn’t come back to you within 72 hours, please post your ticketnumber in the sticky in this forum section.

If you have talked to support numerous time and don’t get a sattisfying answer feel free to ask her for an appeal. Do understand that almost all appeals are being handled by Gaile. She is a wonderous woman who is both fair and nice. she doesn’t appreciate however crap nor half truths.

Give support change to help you and you’ll be allright. If that fails, feel free to complain here.

Do make sure your mailbox isn’t full. Delete all but one or two letters, and then wait and see if you get a delivery from the Trading Co.

Sometimes old email messages from the game itself will keep you from getting new ones. Make sure you don’t have more than a few of those.
