Restore account - all characters deleted

I have a ticket open for this (#2306778), figure I’d ask how likely this will be a favourable outcome.
Short and simple: Had a friend over watching while I play, I goto settle my 3 month old, come back and close my laptop. (Couple of weeks pass). I log in and see, all characters are gone. Ask so called friend and he tells me I shouldn’t play games so he deleted my characters… very funny…. not.
I’m well aware that this is entirely my fault, I simply should have logged off before leaving the room. Also seen threads mention they likely do not restore accounts in this situation, but after having characters since launch I have try hope for an account restore.
Has anyone had an account restore in a similar situation?

You will likely not qualify for an Account Restoration, but the CS Team has a new tool to restore deleted characters (and everything they were holding), so you may have a favorable outcome to your request.
Do keep in mind that said restorations are on a case-by-case basis, so a favorable outcome is not guaranteed.

That would be fine, all bank stuff still seems to be there so just the characters and bags that are gone.
Thanks for the info, was getting pretty down reading the other threads where its a no from CS.

Customer support is your answer. And yeah, I hope you disowned the said ‘friend’. Do not trust that person to be near you again. That was a breach of trust, and I can imagine that individual would do more to you if possible.

Hopefully they can restore the characters, realised i have my logging tools and legendary on a good few of the weapons from achievements that would now be unobtainable. Just biding my time now doing some pvp waiting on a reply.

If they say they can’t, try asking for the achievement weapons and the legendary and other such items. They may be able to get those back for you.
