Guild Wars 2

Hello!

I recently got a new laptop for myself and was looking to install GW2, everything was going fine, in fact the download and install was about 90% done. then I realized I was installing it on my C drive and not the D drive like I had intended. I shut down the launcher and uninstalled the game from my computer and redownloaded the launcher/installer.

Hitting the install button brings up : ’Error: unable to create folder. The specified path is invalid. (161)

Any help resolving this issue would be appreciated as I’m pretty excited to get into the game with my new computer

laptop so is the D drive a passport drive from one of the big name company’s??

or is it a sd drive ?"???? . even tho this should not matter but to make this all work.

so you can play the game go ahead and put the game on the C drive. and once it installs and is fully updated . so you can play the game with out any files downloading while your playing

once you got that all done . THEN locate the game folder on the C drive and just move it to the D drive . very much like you do with pictures and videos and music and so forth .. hope this helps good luck

did not know kitten drive would bring up the filter word for kitten wow that one shocks me lol

You can rename gw2setup.exe to gw2.exe and place it wherever you want to install/run the game.

The problem is from launching the installer and hitting the install button no matter where i download the launcher to it’s giving me that error. I can’t get anywhere past that point.
