I know that I bought the game with a digital download but I have checked all my email addresses and have no record of the purchase email which would have included the serial key. I need to contact support about an issue loggin in but you cant if you dont have the original serial key ? seems a bit strange but that you would have to supply that, and come to thnk of it now I pretty sure i actually bought the game from The Guild Wars 2 online store ? But the confirmation email with the serial key is long since deleted.
Lol but i cant contact support to tel them this

You definitely can contact Support without a serial code. We’re happy to help you, and will use other means to verify your ownership of the account. So please contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you. For tips on what information to provide in a ticket (obviously not the serial code, but other things) please read this post.
