got to 84% when dling the patch then dc’d and can’t even connect to the client now. come on anet this is ridiculous. everything else internet related works fine

Couldn t get to 1%, connexion error. Tried admin mode, no luck.

Well forum connectivity is iffy as well. Someone knew this was breaking today as oppose to tomorrow, gem price spike started two hours ago.

Yeah same, got booted out of game due to patch and then started getting connectivity problem and now couldn’t connect at all.
Oh well, off to play Far Cry 4 i guess.

The servers are a bit overloaded at the moment. If you’re getting the error “Connection errors detected – retrying” upon opening the launcher, let it sit in the background for a few minutes and it should start patching. If you get this happening mid-patch, close the launcher and re-open it, then give it some time to connect. Things should normalize again relatively soon.

I’m back in and my Guild window is showing a few interesting things:

- Guilds are somehow no longer listed alphabetically, but in random order. (Whut?)
- All upgrades that were still pending just before the patch (like my Treasure Trove with 105hrs to go) are now completed. I can live with that, obviously, but before I go dumping a lot of stuff in my private guild bank just to find out this gets “fixed” and my stuff is gone… is it meant to do that? xD

It starts downloading for a mere seconds then goes back to 0 kb/s for another 15 secs just to start again.

Same issue, 1 file remaining and the connection issue strobe comes on after a few minutes. So far it is downloading 125mb, download speeds are varying between 100kb/s and 0kb/s.

Why is my client window shaking off showing “Connection error(s) detected . Retrying..” ?
No matter how many times I restart the client it keeps on showing!

I must be over 1200 mb now, mine was doing the whole 0 kb/s then a sudden spike for 10 seconds but I restarted it and now it’s a constant 30kb/s

mine doesn’t even give me a connection error it just crashes every time

well, mine is going from 0kb/s to 800

30kbs/sec is absolutely laughable….45 mins on the last file.

My 100mb/sec cable connection is just sitting there doing nothing

Stuck on last file, restarted game to see if that fixed it, but now i have 1 file remaining and 0% downloaded, been like this for over 30 mins.

Making me sad reading about the camera changes and not being able to actually get ingame to see it

removed gemfx… nothing happened…

my fianceé never used gem or sweet still struct on the patch screen… meanwhile half of my guild are playing just fine…

Come on! Just let me in already! I was at work since morning so I haven’t got much time left to get a daily achievement (too late to do anything at the game now but still got time for just 3 dailies if I can get in before midnight)!

It’s been well over 2 hours now and I’m still stuck with the “Connection errors detected” message. Some better advice on a queue system or even use a bit torrent downloader in future to distribute patches. This is shocking. 107Mb/s download speed cable connection still sitting doing nothing.

I’ve been stuck on 99% for almost an hour now. I restart the launcher when I get the flashing on/off connection error, and it starts downloading normally again, but it’s been trying to download this one last file for almost an hour. It keeps going between 30KB/s and 150KB/s (which is very low for me), and hasn’t moved from 0%.

Worked great for me, however I don’t really understand how it still gets the updates seeing as how it just skips the patch.

Just adding in my feedback:

Downloaded the entire patch fine, until the last file. Restarted patcher, run as admin etc and still no joy. Just tried running as the streaming client (adding -StreamingClient to the target line on the guildwars 2 shortcut) and it has started up fine. Might be a temporary fix for some others too!

I just used the -repair argument. It took a while, but when the launcher re-opened it downloaded the last file fine. Perhaps having to close and re-launch it during the first attempt caused some problems that had to be repaired before it could succeed in a folow-up attempt.

I tried as you suggested KuKu but still no luck. I’m running a fresh install with no mods, switched off my anti virus and even DMZd my router to allow unrestricted access in/out of the router……..still nothing. These muppets need to get their act together.

For the record I’m in the UK just incase it’s to do with locale

Windows 8, UK. Downloaded to 99% and then stopped. Restarted game client. Now it’s trying to download 28GB at 30k!!!

I was having the same problem and tried to uninstall gw2 and re install it now the launcher crashes and becomes unresponsive and i have to close it via task manager. This isn’t the first time i had this happen. Please help! i dont know what to do!!

been trying to patch now for about 3 hours, restarted several times and it just keeps on having a fit, have even just let it sit in the background but nothing. on 1 occasion it got to 1% left and just kept on getting errors.
windows 8.1 downloading at 24-27kbps and getting nowhere

It looks like it’s having a seizure to me rapidly blinking between connection error and the download bar. It doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon in general.
