the next thing you will notice is the lack of optimisation. but its still fun for a good 6 months

Seems all their servers are having issues. Lots of 502 errors trying to log into this website to comment.

Same here. I just bought it, downloaded all the data, created a character and was ready to play and then… couldn’t join any servers and now not even the account.

apparently it isn’t only the europe servers. My US server having the same probs

While there isn’t an exact match, the numbers are close to error codes saying it’s on Anet’s side. The message is also used when the stored password is corrupted.

Was just able to log into Crystal Desert, from the US.

haha guys i was ready with both tinfoil hat and pitchfork lol, seriously this kind of things happens in a system, no matter how hard you try.
the interesting was to see the game crashing and suddenly the forum too, mmy guess is lot of ppl with thirst of blood ready to post terrible stuff.. lol

I was playing just a minute ago, now I’m trying to make a new character and I can’t contact the login servers for some reason…but I’m not in Europe…I’m in the US

EDIT: I was merged into this thread, but this is not my error. Mine is:
42:0:0:0:101

If I try to create the character twice within like 20 seconds, the second message gives me error code 1010:6:6:419:101

Lovely, now you get kicked out in every few minutes. Happened 8 times. Until i gave up.

I am trying to log in after making a character to play and it keeps telling me that it is unable to connect to the log in server. I am connected to the internet just fine as evidenced by posting on these forums.

I’m on Sorrows Furnace.

Is there a way to check the status of the log in server?

Try a support ticket. Forums are not great for real-time support, and this would be more a tech issue than an account one, wouldn’t it?

Alternatively, try hitting up their twitter.

I do not believe that this is an issue on my side. I have everything configured properly as this isn’t my first MMO.

I do not have a twitter account, have no use for one and being on Facebook is more than enough social networking for me…lol.

Well, the account issues forum isn’t the place for this kind of thing.

Even if it’s not your side, it’s more a tech issue.

And, again, the forums are not the place for quick responses. I’m able to log in (in the US, on Crystal Desert currently), and you could try Facebook too, if you want.

I am on a US server, Anvil Rock, and it’s not allowing me to create a character.
I have tried several times, restarted my game and everything.
I am able to login on different toons no problem, but making a new one I get error 42:0:0:0:101

Just downloaded and installed the game today, chose Blackstone and finished setting up my toon and when I sign the thing at the end and try to connect it says “Game client not able to connect to login server…”

Disabled my firewall, same thing. Bleh…I hope I don’t have to set my toon up again that’s a pain in the a**!

I too have the issue that you are describing.

A bunch of people in a different thread in this forum are having login troubles.

I went to file a ticket and I guess they are working on the problem. Nothing we can do but wait for them to fix it.
