7:11:3:191:101 RAGE!!!!
i just wanted to make my own topic about this but i just join u since it is basicly same.. few days ago i posted this
hello
i dont want to create new topic, since mine problem is similiar…
when i am in pve, dungs.. everything is ok but when i go to wvw i have permanently big lags. i have no idea how to fix it, it is totaly unplayable, i have it from yesterday, it started at night.. i usualy dont get any error message and dc(i got dc once).. it is just heavily lagging.. everyone is “teleporting” walking one direction and then teleport.. i move well but just teleport.. it doesnt metter where i am, tried rr game, rr pc, run gw2 diag ..if i undestood it well it says my connection is good.. my internet is running good i think.. for example TS is not lagging, web pages load fast, streams also.. i have this problem in every BL, EBG and also eotm//today early morning it wasnt lagging, it started later and continue after hour breaks
today i have lags in wvw and now also dungeons, i dont have lags in PvE(yet). it is totaly uplayable, now i also get a disconnects and this error messages… i dont have any problems with internet or pc and i didnt chanegd anything.. everythins started this week..
any advice how to fix it or we should just wait for anet patch/fix?
to your post, i rly dont think the copy of your game has something to do with lags and dc or your “key” as a account.. maybe all this ppl here crying about this problem have something common
for example, iam on eu sfr server, i live in CZ, my connection is 100/100 – in real, i use win8 with no updates, i came back to the game week ago after few weeks of slacking.. and i dont think PC has something to do with this so i dont post it
//ok now i have also problems to login to the game, and pve is unplayable.. internet still working fine

What server do you play on in relation to your actual geographic location? If all lag issues are WvW or Dungeon related then the lag could be because you are connecting to a server halfway around the world in those situations. Many of the repeated issues I have seen are often players in EU playing on NA servers (or visa versa) or Pacific Rim players in general (as they have to go to either NA or EU servers). Also note that if you problem seem to exist at certain hours (like peak evening hours) it could indicate your ISP is throttling your bandwidth to the GW2 servers.
In general, unless a significant number of players (and I mean multi-hunred to thousands) see the same connection issues, then it is NOT an GW2 code issue….it is a latency issue to the server you are connecting to. The list of things that could cause a latency issue from your PC to the Server is about two dozen items long and only one of them is the Anet Server (and again, EVERYONE on that server would be having issues if it was a server issue).

I’ve been getting severe lag spikes in all aspects of the game for a few months now. given up playing the game. My internet is 100% fine so it has to be a server issue. is there some way i can test the connection to see for sure? should i re-install the game? I never used to have this lag. Been playing since launch.
I am playing on Sea Of Sorrows from Brisbane, Australia.
This has been happening to me for the last several days. After several diagnostics it’s obviously something on Anets end. Only have issues with GW2. All other online games work fine without lag or crashing for me.
I’m not asking for your help – if it’s not my hardware, software, network or isp it is obviously something they need to take care of. End of story. No discussion to be had. It’s not just me, it’s several others. Also, you say WE as if I asked you for help. I’ve already gone through the steps necessary and I know it’s nothing to do with any of the issues listed above. Step off the top of Mt. IKnowWhat’sBest. This has been an issue for players for over a year if not since the beginning of the game. It’s something that Anet is going to have to look into whether they are causing it or not.
Hi i’m glad to find that someone else has the same problem as me. I am currently working through the Connectivity section in GW2 but I do not know how to connect my computer directly to the modem. I have a BT home hub four and am connected to it through a wireless network. There are also two other computers on the network. How do i Bypass my router? thanks.
Also I have tried running a Traceroute and when i get to step 6. My computer says target route is invalid. so no good there.
Hi I have been trying to troubleshoot this problem by myself. Here is a list of everything that I have tried. The 1hr of game time was after I had installed the Windows 7 service pack. But it dropped out continually since.
Dropping every five minutes 8:30-10:00 14/6/14
1hr without dropping 10:10-11:17 14/6/14
Dropping every five minutes 11:17-12:30
Wireless Signal Strength Fair.
Things I have done-
1. Opened Ports on My BT home Hub
2. Uninstalled Norton Antivirus
3. Switched off Windows Firewall
4. Updated Drivers for My Wireless Network adaptor (TP link Dual Band WDN4800)
5. Updated windows 7 to latest service pack.
6. Uninstalled Parental control Software.
7. Installed My Copy of bull guard security.
8. Switched off Bull guard Security Firewall
9. Turned Security settings down low.
10. Switched Auto Search off on BT home Hub
11. Manually Switched to a different band on BT Home Hub.
12. Closed Background Processes Using MS Config.
Things I have not been able to do
1. Connect directly to my Modem (I have a BT home hub 4).
2. Run a Traceroute, when I get to Step 6 I get an error message saying the Name “GW2…-diag” specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.
Any help would be appreciated.
abomally, go annoy somebody else. Who died and made you support? Just because you are not having issues does not mean others arent.
It is clear from the threads that are on these forums, the last patch has changed something and there are people out there with issues of lag and disconnects.
Running a traceroute shows 100% packet loss when it reaches the the GW2 servers. I cant play for more than 10 minutes without disconnecting or crashing. That means lots of gauntlet ticket losses, that means lots of points lost in Spvp becuase you cant finish a round, that means no dungeons, no wvw or anything else.
Packet loss at the last few hops is not an issue from my end, it is a GW2 server issue. So unless you are Anet tech support, go play the game and post in some other thread. We need help and you arent here to provide it.

I have no intention of posting the full trace as a) the packet loss starts there and b) my ip doesnt need to be ont he forums in public view.
Again, unless you are Anet support, i suggest you go play the game rather then tell people who are having issues that everything is all and well.
as the packet loss starts at cdnetworks-gw.ip4.tinet.net, which states it is a CDN and is in germany, not the country I am playing from, I can only assume that it may be Anets CDN, which would lead the problem back to Anet.
And again, with the forums full of disconnect and lag posts since the last patch (and recent change to megaservers), there is obviously an issue somewhere in the pipeline. Where and what we dont know until Anet cant chirp in and give us some ideas. But there support telling me to clear out msconfig is as smart as you denying there is some kind of issue out there.
Personally, I don’t care what you “suggest”. I just showed you that this problem is not an Anet issue and yet you still want to argue the issue.
Take care and I hope you are able to resolve this problem with the network nodes (which Anet still has no control over, despite what you may believe).
Stop being a fanboy. You’re obviously not wanted or needed in this thread. Move along.
Having same problem here, can’t play longer then 5 minutes. Getting costant disconnections.

Keep in mind that nobody at Anet is going to respond to this since (as abomally showed) this issue is NOT on Anet’s end). Your only hope of any help is if some other player WANTS to help you and with that attitude, good luck.
Being demanding, insulting and insisting you are in the right (when evidence shows you are not) is not going to solve your problem, but if it makes you happy, then you are welcome to continue.
