Assertion crashes even after reformat
Also not to state the obvious but I have tried the repair option several times with no success. I will be able to get in the game but for no more than an hour at a time before I have problems again.
can you create a dxdiag log file and post it here to see more informations about your pc ?
you can upload a file by using the [More Posting & Formatting Options …] under the post replay
(To find your DxDiag, Start>Run and type ‘DxDiag’ without the quotation marks and ‘Save all Information’ )
Certainly.

^Thank you, you sweet, sweet man!
Assertions can also be caused by memory problems.
All that an assertion is is the program knowing something went belly up, don’t know what to do about it and does a control exit with possibly sending an error report to home base.

“DX Setup Parameters: Not found” is normal.
This is most likely an issue with your RAM. Check timings, voltage and make sure it is operating per manufacturer’s specs.
Just thought you should know we found out the motherboard we have doesn’t like the type of RAM we bought for it, removed one and haven’t had any issues since. Temporary fix until we order the correct one but just thought you’d like to know it was a RAM issue in my case.
