Guild Wars 2

Hello, I’ve been trying to reinstall GW2 after formatting my computer, and it all goes fine, the download starts and everything. After 4-6 hours of downloading, however, the download gets to 100%, acts as finished for a second and then suddenly I get this message:
“Download failed! Please check your internet connection and try again. (2)”

If I check the folder I picked for the game, I can see three files: Gw2.dat (15gb), Gw2.exe and Gw2.tmp.

I’ve tried downloading it all again about 6 times now, and still no luck. I googled around for a solution, but most of them involved AVG, and being that I use avast! they are hardly helpful. Thanks in advance for any help.

• try disabling avast
• try google dns or opendns instead of your default isp dns
• try -repair or -image command

Changing to google’s dns worked, thanks mate!

I have the same issue, How would i go about changing to googledns or open dns? Please explain it in simple terms, I am not so fancy with computer configuring/software.
