Dear Anet, Please Respon to Error 7 Issues
I use Comcast as well and just recently fixed my error 7 problem. Are you using the gateway (combination modem and router) provided by Comcast? If so, that is the problem that is causing the error 7s. It’s what kept giving me error 7s every single day and was a constant bane to me. Ditching their provided gateway, and buying a dedicated modem and dedicated router immediately fixed the issue, and have had zero disconnects over the past two months.
So I really hope that’s the problem you’re having, as that can be easily fixed.

That would be an easy fix, though I’ve been with Comcast for about 14 years and never had that issue with any other program or game. That is kind of weird.

I’ve never had any issues with GW2 lag (that I couldn’t account for) prior to April’s feature patch and I started playing at launch. Now I lag out about every 20 minutes, making game play all but impossible. A few nights ago I was forced to repeat the same story quest 3 times because I would lag out before it was completed.
When I hit the character screen, I can immediately log back in like nothing ever happened. Then the connection begins to degrade until I’m lagged out and have to start the process over.
Well, considering my comcast modem/router runs everything else perfectly, every other online game no issues, and the fact that I have phone service through them which requires the modem – I’ve decided to just not worry about it and not play This game until it’s resolved.
Why should I have to go out and lay down $100+ for a modem and router to play a game that worked for a year flawlessly before the mega server was added.
Think I’ll head back to Dazy Stand alone on Steam – It gives me a way bigger “rush” anyhow than gw2 it seems

Yep having the same issue as well. Everything on my end is working flawlessly with many large MMOs and online games working with no lag at all (Eve Online, Diablo 3 and the Wildstar beta when it’s open). So far it has been like this all week and it is really kittening me off. Anets making no fans from this.

Wow that’s odd I’m on Comcast and I play with 0 lag and no disconnects I live in Colorado, Denver area have had no problem since beta. This could be a regional thing, try posting your general location like state city. I’m positive this is not on Anet’s end or I would have issues and so would a lot more people.

My location would be Indianapolis Indiana. The thing is I play on 2 different computers. One at work (I’m bad =/) , and one at home.
The work ISP is actually a much slower DSL Company with a max DL speed of about 5.0..and I lose connection to the client at work, exactly like home.
My home ISP for actual gaming and personal use is Comcast as stated above, at home. I’m losing connection to the client on 2 different PC’s, with 2 different Modems, with 2 different ISP’s.
That seems pretty strange to me. Again, No issues with any other online game, including over 200 steam games I hop online quite a few of those from time to time.
Yes please fix your end of things. Getting error 7 in the middle of tourny matches in pvp….hadn’t occurred until the mega-servers…

Wow they still have not addressed this issue? I keep checking back about every 2 weeks to see, but it looks hopeless.
It’s getting worst for me now, d/cing every 15mins from 30.
I’m from Malaysia, using Time 50mb HSBroadband Fiber.
Been playing since headstart, no problem till the new megaserver patch.
Anet, pls look into this seriously. It’s very unplayable now with the Queens Gauntlet.
