same problem + my girlfriend and a friend also from belgium 1 using ‘belgacom’ and 2 using ‘telenet’ everything else works fine only gw2 seem to be having issues

i am even hosting a teamspeak server and that one also works perfect

kinda random at times.

I really appreciate the info you are giving us in the thread, even if I don’t have any answers for you right now.

But telling us your general location and the name of your ISP helps a bunch.

As I was suggesting in another thread, when we see issues with a certain country or region, and when we don’t see general problems across all countries using the European Data Center, my first instinct is that there’s some sort of infrastructure issue within that country. For instance, some poor French players have had connectivity issues related to a specific ISP for months, and while we’d like to help correct it, the correction of the issue relies on the ISP itself.

Anyway, if you are still having this issue, and you’d care to update, please provide:

  • General location (city and country would be great)
  • Exact error code (don’t rely on the code in the forum post subject line — make sure it’s precisely what you are seeing)
  • Brief description of issue. For instance, lag, disconnections (how many in what period of time), can’t log in, etc.

First of all thank you for a response.

  • Hasselt, Belgium
  • The problem some of the people in this thread and me are having is the following:
    It happens on random moments of the day (I’ve had it happen at 9pm -…., 1pm -5pm,….).
    It also doesnt happen every day, it was happening daily the week before the feature patch till the day after and this week’s Monday till Wednesday.
    If it happens while I’m playing I’d get a 7:xx.xxx.xxx code and afterwards I’ll keep getting a 42:xxxx:xxxx (unable to reach login servers).
    This could be for a couple of hours or just for half an hour untill I’m able to log in again. While this is happening every other game, website,…. works fine except for the guildwars2.com site and reaching the Guild Wars 2 log in servers.
    I can’t remember the specific error codes as it has been 2 days since it last happened but I’ll try to note the specific codes next time it occurs.

I’ve been having the same issue intermittently for a couple of weeks. I can go several days without encountering it, but on bad days it happens up to 3-4 times an hour. I’ve never had any lag or DC problems before.
When the problem happens, I get what looks like a major lag spike (but other services like TS work fine), then I’m disconnected. Sometimes (but not always), the game hangs on a black screen at this point and I have to kill it from the task manager. For a while after that, I get an error when I try to reconnect. During that time I can’t access the GW2 home page either. Everything else (including the GW2 forums, for some reason) works fine.
The lockout period is rather short, 10-30 minutes. Whether the game exits cleanly or has to be killed doesn’t seem to influence this.
The time of the day, what I’m doing in-game, the load on my CPU and my internet traffic have no apparent effect on the problem.

I’m in Brussels and my ISP is Belgacom.

I’m from Belgium too and I’ve been encountering this issue since about a week before the last patch (so since 7 April).

  • Location: Lokeren, Belgium
  • ISP: Belgacom
  • Error codes: 42:1020:101:4342:101
    19:0:0:0:101
    19:9:19:1720:101
  • The first time I DC’ed was a few days before the patch of 15 April. I was playing Pvp and I was suddenly kicked and couldn’t log in again for about 5 minutes after that. When I could log in, I couldn’t play with any of my chars (also an error code as stated above). This lasted for 5 minutes and then I was able to play again. Half an hour later, I got kicked again and couldn’t log in for over an hour and a half (went to sleep after that, the next morning the problem was ‘fixed’). The day after that I DC’ed again with the same error code, resulting in me receiving a dishonorable buff.
    Another time (about a week after the patch), I was waiting in HotM to join a match and I clicked ‘Go now’. A message popped up I couldn’t join the match and received one of the error codes stated above. I clicked another 4 times on ‘Go now’, always resulting in receiving one of the error codes from above (so not always the same one). I didn’t DC however. After a while, I could join the game (which was just about to start, so I received 5 errors in 1 to 2 minutes). I didn’t receive the error again since then.
    During all those errors and DC’s, I have never experienced any lag. When I’m having the error, I also can’t access the GW2 site (except the forums). All other sites and games work just fine when this occurs. I’ve already ran a virus scan and checked the settings of both my router and firewall. Nothing seems off on those things.

It has been 2 days since i dc’d and coudn’t relog.
It happend random. I got a black screen with error code 7:… (i don’t know the exact code).
After that i coudn’t relog for 1-2h and sometimes it was only 10-30minutes. At the same time it was not possible to access the gw2 homepage, Forum and Support worked fine.

*Update: I had no dc’s for 4 days but today it occured again, sadly.

Ok, I’m going to ask around and see if we know anything about this issue. As I’ve mentioned before, sometimes we become aware of Internet backbone problems that can impact a whole country, even while we have no control over them.

I’ll see if our good Tech Support folks have come across anything that might help explain this.

Hey so I just bought the game three days ago and have only gotten it to actually run once. After my initial purchase I went to bed and tried to play the next morning only to get the same error code as above.

I live in Kingsville, TX United states and my service provider is Newwave. I have been getting two different error codes:
1)19.9.19.1720.101
2)7.11.3.191.101
The first one only pops up on my lvl 80 ele and doesn’t let me play at all with him, and the second happens on my other couple of characters and I normally only get 5-10 minutes of playing time until I’m kicked back out to the character select screen. I have played for a few months without issue until about a week ago. Don’t know what has changed but I would like to fix it soon.
