Guild Wars 2

I m having several seconds lag (Underworld EU server) and i thought it was my internet connection (although it rarely lags). Then i asked on my guild and it seems everyone is lagging from 1 to several seconds.
Is there any issue from server side?

I’m having lags aswell (Gandara EU)… and it’s getting really tiresome in tPvP, to the point I just don’t know if it’s worth playing at all. Some servers seem to be doing okay (no lag in tPvP), some others are really making me cringe (2 to 5 seconds freezes, + constant lag for actions, + rubber banding, in tPvP). It’s all random… every time we get a map change in tournaments I start praying really hard that we get a non laggy server.

The only reason why I’m playing GW2 is because of all the great PvP ArenaNet promised. However you can’t seriously think anyone is going to invest a lot of his time to get better at this if some of your servers aren’t properly set up.

And no : it’s not my internet. I monitored some stuff and your game never uses 100% of my bandwidth. Heck, even a game like Planetside 2 with hundred more elements sent/received every second doesn’t lag at all… And yeah, if the lag continues, I’ll just stop bothering with GW2 and some other item shop will receive my money.

arenanet please do something about the lag, i can’t play properly :/

Majority of people got crazy lag and stuff mentioned above last night, all night until i went to sleep, pretty much exactly 22hours ago, its gone now tho.

On Seafarer’s Rest EU is IMPOSSIBLE to play right now…too much lag, over 2 or 3 sec.

Gandara EU aswell like 2 hours now (15:00 GMT atm).

And its not getting better, tried game restart, router restart, checked pings with several sites, u/l – d/l speed, all is perfect. Whats going on?

I’m on a US server but I’m playing from EU side of the world. I get lag and then disconnected. There is NOTHING wrong with my internet or any other online application I am using. The only thing that is having problems is GW2. It’s practically unplayable right now, I can’t get through my story quests at all.

Same on Whiteside Ridge aswell like 2 hours : (

It’s okay for the servers to lag once in a while, there could be some problems or maintenance needed, but i’d be glad if arenanet care more about it. For the past few hours this game has been unplayable for me. At least i d like some announcement from the devs that they are aware of the issue and will fix it.

It’s quite possible our pleas have been seen, it just may not be something they have been able to identify yet and I’d rather no news for now than to see a “we don’t know what the problem is”… but yeh.. frustrating.

Guys do you also lag for 1-5 secs the last 2-3 hours non stop?I have never had any lag issue beside the first karka event…..

something is very wrong on the arena net

Is it just me or does it clear up for maybe ten minutes and then go back to disconnecting every few minutes again?

I play on Whiteside Ridge and many of us are having lag-dcs problems as well…

Chat lags to hell now, especially vicinity/map chat is non-existant. Having problems logging in now.

Aye things got better late at night (22:00+ @ GMT0).

No problems in the morn atm either.

What was in the late night’s patch? Maybe some kind of tweek for lag/server issues?

Nope. Lag continues unabated. Between 5-7 pm it jumped from fine to unplayable, right on schedule.

I agree lag continue everywhere, on Pve worlds too, when i find more than 10 people on 1 event i start lagging

The title of this post is bang on. Extreme is the word I would use. Skills delay 3-4 seconds, you think you are in one location but really you are somewhere else. You can forget about any PvP. But it never used to be this way. At launch, I could run in 100 man WvW zergs & hardly lose any FPS, & zero skill delays.

The lag is sooo bad at the moment, I may have to quit (I’m not even going to go into the Disconnects going through just about every single Asura Gate or Map Portal).

Don’t get me wrong, I love the game, but when it’s barely possible to play & no fun anymore, then there is no motivation to switch on.

My 2 cents on the issue is that it gets worse at peak server times. Whether the server can’t handle the people on it or what, I have no clue.. but Please fix this or more players will be become fed up enough to quit.
