Guild Wars 2

Hello TechSupport! I have problems like these,

“The game client lost its connection to the server. Please wait a few minutes before restarting the client and try again”
(code=7:11:3:191:101)
“Network error. The inability to connect to Guild Wars 2 may be caused by internet routing issues or a server network failure”
(Code=5:11:3:159:101)

which was caused by at first when I logged in Crown Pavilion (the last instance before i logged out) I was doing stuff you could do in pavilion. Then I got into another overflow through party. After that I wanted to leave Crown Pavilion then the thing started.

The load to CP took a while going to Divinity’s Reach and somehow the load stopped and gave out those error the 2nd one. So right now my main toon is floating stuck in between maps.

the problem is very very similar to https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Network-Error-5-11-3-159-101-11-3-191-101/first this one, i read the whole thing and understood it. the -repair and switching guesting servers has not yet worked for me.

another thing is, this problem affected all of my toons even if only my main toon was floating in between maps. so literally, i cannot play all my characters.

I hope to find a solution very quick so i do not miss out all of the farm today. thanks!

I have the exact same connectivity problem as well. I have been trying to log into the game for more than an hour now. I manage to go up to character selection but I get those error codes when trying to load my selected character into the game.

Have you tried fixing it yourself? Then not, fix it yourself + reset router? try your luck and fix it yourself click on the link I gave, it is an old same complaint as well. there are instructions there on how to fix =)

Update to my Problem:

I have played my different characters- i am happy for that. As for my main toon, it is the only one who is still experiencing the problem.

After it loads the Crown Pavilion i can see it standing in the exit instance for 1second almost, then, it directly moves to divinity reach’s loading screen. It is literally at the exit door in Crown Pavilion.

I have tried adding -repair, /clientport 80 these were done separately. Then I did them again while resetting computer + reset modem, maybe it helps.

Update to my Problem:

It seems I was too excited to think that all my toons are safe. I did say i could play my previous toons on my previous reply-post, but, since having nothing to do I was playing with my low level toon and from Gendarren I walked to Queensdale and again Stuck in Between Maps.

so if summed up correctly, I can play my remaining characters (3) who are not yet stuck in the portals. As long as they do not move to another map.

I have tried resetting both my PC and modem several times now but to no avail. I also tried the /clientport 80 but it didn’t work. I’m currently doing -repair, I hope this will fixed the problem.

Same here. Sometimes I successfully log into the game and get disconnected when I try to change zone.

what scares me more though is that i have searched and seen same problem like ours and has not been answered by TechSupport. in other words, they were not given a solution and end up somewhat “fixing” (if they call it so) it themselves. Now, i am not a good techguy. even if i had played lots of other games before i cannot solve this on my own.

The -repair didn’t work either. I guess I’ll just go to sleep and try again later. I hope it will be fixed.

bump thread. its been 8hours almost since the problem and 6-7hours since i posted. i missed a day of farm. those festival tokens..

is there no staff working during SEA prime time? even with game release to china, shouldn’t there be a number of people to address problems during prime time SEA gmt+8. =(

So the guide for TechSupport Threads are to wait 2-3 days for a response from Arena Net Staff. And it has been almost a week since I posted this and yet no response.

I do not like to emphasize the need for more staff especially that you “officially” opened servers to China.

Please Response TechSupport even if you can’t immediately give a solution, but, we need responses for our tickets. People are experiencing Problems like mine and keep posting about it. IT IS and endless loop because whenever a post is done it gets no response thus more people posting the same problem. +1 again!

You can link an old forum thread topic that had the same problem as long as it will fix it. If not, please do suggest another solution.

I’m experiencing this same problem on my Guardian in Rata Sum.

Is sound like your local.dat file is messed up you can reset it by adding the command -prefreset to the games shortcut target field it should look something like this "C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -prefreset. If the stuff inside the quotes looks a little deferent don’t change it, you just want to add a space and
-prefreset after the last quote mark. Then start the game, this should fix you right up. After you close the game don’t forget to remove the space and -prefreset from the shortcut target field or all your in game preferences will be reset each time you start the game. You might have to redo all your graphics setting and key bindings.
