The second the game loads after I hit “Play”

The game loads up, I see my character selection screen for a couple seconds then it crashes.

I get a small windowed mode of GW2 (just the borderline of the window,) and I can hear the character selection screen music in the background, an error window pops up that says

“Guild Wars 2 detected a possible hardware malfunction. This may be due to a faulty or overheating processor or memory chip. The application will now terminate.”

I can get the game to load 1 out of 20 times and I can play for hours without a single problem at all. I usually just leave GW2 alt tabed so I don’t have to re-launch it, but when I reboot my PC I have to try over and over to get GW2 to load.

I had the latest video driver – same problem.
I was recommended trying v304.79 – same problem.
Someone suggested underclocking my PC – same problem.

/facepalm

I finally got in and I get a message there is a new build, then kicks me back to the launcher. lol
Hopefully this build fixes my problem, haha.

Well, the Halloween patch seemed to fix it. lol

I logged in 4 times in a row with no hassles.

Nope, it’s back.
