Guild Wars 2

This started a few days ago on my home server; Ring Of Fire [EU] and Desolation [EU].

Every single time I’m within the vicinity of more than 10 people, all of them running/using skills/generally just doing anything actively; I get some god awful network lag.

We’re talking rubberbanding all over the place, no one moving for a few seconds then just disappear since i just lagged too hard to update their location and general delays.

It’s so bad that shadowstep skills actually teleport me backwards since they take too long to activate!

I checked my internet with speedtest.net, pingtest.net; both to Frankfurt. I used the /ip command and tracert’ed it in cmd only to get perfectly acceptable results from all ends: see attachments

Is it because of the WvW tournament? Or is it somehow on my end? Help me!

Still going on, as late as of 5 seconds ago at the time of writing this post.

The same thing has been happening to me as well and my connection doesn’t seem to be the issue either.

Phew, I thought I was the only one, because I kept asking in map chat and got no replies. It started on Saturday, for me. Whenever I am in a high population zone like WvW, my fps drops. It’s not my computer hardware and it’s not my internet connection. Before Saturday, I could run GW2 with it’s highest settings in any situation without suffering from low fps. My drivers and everything are updated and none of my other games are showing those symptoms. Not sure what is going on.

Interesting. I generally thought that it was because of the whole APCN2 Fault in my case because that’s been affecting me since a few weeks ago. But apparently (after a few google searches), it’s been fixed since a few days ago.

The post by Psywing is the one which intrigues me the most since all my problems with GW2 went away during Friday (which I assume was the date the ACPN2 was repaired now that I think about it), and it suddenly started slowing down again on Saturday when there were about 10 people actively performing skills/etc around me.

Whatever you guys did on Wednesday, it was the fix for my issue. Zero skill lag over here, its fun to play again!
