Dude, I wanted to ‘me too’ this so bad yesterday, but I couldn’t log in to the website either.
[] the client was giving me the above error and saying I had a bad login
[] the website was having some graphical issues, this
[] selecting password recovery from the scary blank log in page, said ‘feature unavailable’.
So of course I went to bed dreaming of all the things I’d be doing in my free time, since I wouldn’t be playing GW2 after whenever I got my password sorted out and logged in to find all money, armor, and weapons gone.
Well today I was able to reset my password and log in, and thank god all my stuff is still there… whew.
So what the hell happened?
I know I didn’t forget my password, I type it multiple times a day.
Anyway, just thought I’d share.
I think a lot of people are having this issue, or at least issues logging in. It’s just a bug, I’m pretty sure. It’s early, it’ll happen. Also read your thread, at least you got to play it a little bit. Was it awesome?
I’m currently receiving the same problem as well. I’m not able to recover my account either, since I have never played the game before ~ I don’t know if this would fix the issue either way.
I have tried changing my password on the site, I have force-quiet the client a few times, and I have reset my computer from time to time. I tried logging in while the game was updating/patching, but I was receiving a different error code which was 7:1000:7006:375 ~ I thought that I wasn’t able to log in due to downloading, but that may not be the case..
Each time I try to log in I will encounter both errors, but 7:1000:7006:375 is not as frequent.
Is there anyone who has/was receiving the same error codes as me? If so, have you had any success thus so far?
I had the same problem but I’ve managed to fix it. Hopefully by now you have too but thought I’d post just incase.
When you try to login it asks for your account name, NOT your display name. I spent ages retrying with my display name. So for example I was doing Zuesdestroyer.9586 when I should have been doing my email address.

i am having this problem after my account was banned due to fraud. they asked me to buy another key and to use it on my account so I can retrieve my character back, and so I did. Now, 11:1001:2:1298 error arises whenever i use my username as I log in. But with my email, still it keeps giving me error 45. i did reset the password several times but I still keep getting the same errors. i dont know what to do here. i have a ticket and this has been pending for the past 11 days.
Having this issue. I am using my email address and not my display name (although i tried this just for posterity) saw that someone got it to work after “de-linking 2 step login” but im not sure what that means or how to do this….i tried clicking on “forgot my password” on the login screen and it brings me to a webpage that says “feature not available”
I first installed this game on my desktop, and it worked fine.
But then I installed it on my brand new laptop to see if it’d run better.
I tried to log in once it was done downloading, and it told me all the things that are basically error 11.
I logged in on my desktop perfectly fine with the correct password,
but I did the exact same thing on the laptop and it’s telling me it’s incorrect?
(I logged on my desktop after error 11 showed up on my laptop to see if I was really entering the wrong password but I was putting the correct for both, and I’m 100% sure)
Ashley Segovia then explain this… i have an account i bought the game yesterday and im logged in with that serial code and im writing you this with my account i can login to the official website but i cant login to the game… and i know that my pass and name are not wrong
I’m still having problems connection on the client’s side but the log in on the main page works. I tried resetting the password a few time but that did a whole lot of nothing. So if any one can help me I would be very than grateful.
