Guild Wars 2

It seems there are some problems around GW2 and its newest build and i’ve been trying all kinds of methods i found here and some others and today it paid off: the patch downloaded and installed as i write this

So maybe there are others out there with this problem and hopefully this will help them

Other solutions i found on here are:

Starting the game in Compatibility Windows XP service pack 2

repairing the game files via backup restore points (my comp does that automatically each week)

But here’s what REALLY fixed the game today for me

i ran CCleaner to remove obsolete registry items and Norton to do another check on my registry and it works

Maybe others will find this helpful and try to fix the registry as well

PS: my specific problem was being completely unable to connect with GW2 via launcher or a new setup i downloaded yesterday

So you fixed your computer, not the game. The patcher was never broken to begin with, only your computer was.

it was right after the patch so it wouldn’t have been my comp since i restarted the game right when it was available

Interesting. I have a habit of using Ccleaner fairly often – maybe that’s why I have no issues patching or running the game?
