New high end PC. Horrible FPS
Click that question mark next to 1.1. It will get rendering running and it should switch to 3.0. Amd have some kind of power save feature so if you dont run stuff that needs better speed it will stay 1.1 (if you minimalize the game it should be 3.0 for a mom and then switch to 1.1 again). Btw how many fps are you getting and on what settings. I have simmilar specs so i can tell ya if its rly so low or not.

Ah i see. While im just running around in the heart of the mists my fps drops to 6-12
6-12fps in Heart of the mist is very low. Try cleaning/re-seating the card if its still stuck at 1.1

It does go up to 3.0 when i run that rendering program, so thats not the problem. And i actually already tried reseating it.
Right now im going to try downloading some old Radeon drivers and see if it helps. If that doesnt work, I think my last option will be to switch my video cards. I have another comp that runs the game flawlessly. Maybe if i swicth the two comps video cards, they’ll both run great i hope…
And whats is also weird is with the exact same setup, but running Windows 7 32 bit.. It somehow ran better… Then i switched to 64 bit and now its awful
That is indeed extremly low for ur processor and GPU, try downloading HWinfo64 and monitor us system behavior while running the game. If u want some help run both programs on widowed mode, stay standing at the mist for 5 mins, then screen capture the hwinfo readins so we can see if we find something wrong with voltage, temperatures, clock speeds, etc.

Your CPU over heating or something? Its running at 800mhz and throttled.
I see HD 2500 integrated GPU being shown. Sure you are using the radeon video card?
Run the sensor-only mode of HwINFO, gives more data.

sounds like it may not be running on the standalone gpu but rather running off your intel video, if this is the case, check out guru3d forums and laptopvideo2go for help updating your gfx(assuming this is a laptop with dual video) there are some issues with dual gfx that require tricks or special drivers to get around.

FIXED. I had my RAM in the secondary slots i guess instead of the primary ones. I just put the RAM in the other slots and now the game is running great on max settings.
I didn’t think where the RAM was made a difference at all but i guess it does
Well it probly was just an old bios or smtn and the cpu just didnt know how to use the ram in secondary slots. I can pretty much put thoes in any slots in my asus z77 and it works the same :P Btw check if you throttle now cuz that should not happen even at around 90c on procesor

I really do hate motherboards that act weird like this…..funny enough i have never seen this with amd systems, but many times I have with intel…… quite odd, bet ify ou added more ram filling all slots it would run fine to……but if you just fill the other slots, problem would come back….(thats what i have seen with random intel setups i have worked on or built for people….)
