In the last week or so, I’ve been having huge problems communicating with anyone in game. When I log in, my entire friends list shows as entirely unknown. I cannot whisper them, join them or basically do anything without getting ‘Network Error’ and then the usual jargon about firewall etc.

This also carries over to not being able to talk in say, answer any shouts and it’s had strange glitches when I’m in a party it will show me actually not in a party at all despite being in a dungeon, I also cannot talk in party chat. It will sometimes clear up for about 20 minutes, then I’m straight back to complete blackout and unable to talk to anyone and constantly get network error.

I’ve filed a bug report each time, nothing happens and I have had no response despite the problem being continuous and considerably frustrating especially when in WvW or PvP. What’s going on?

Dear Anet, since writing this 11 days ago, I have submitted a ticket daily without a single response from your or a single piece of ‘support’ and I am still getting this problem on a daily basis at seemingly random times that can last for most of my gaming time.

Once again I cannot even contact other players in your MMO becuase your game keeps constantly giving me network error when I try to talk to someone. Can i please actually get some support on this instead of submitting tickets that get compltely ignored, not to mention there have been several new builds since the submission of my first ticket.

First, if you’ve been submitting a ticket a day, you’re flooding the system and may never get answered. Please close out ALL the extra tickets and update your first one to ask for help.

Once you have done that, post your 12-digit incident number from the first ticket and one of us will look into this for you.

Has there been any work done on this issue? Its affecting quite a few players.

A friend I run with all the time cannot chat outside of say, and its ruining my game as well as hers.

One issue with this whole ticket thing is the system is not very good. It has very poor feedback, support personnel frequently don’t actually read the report (its obvious by the responses), and there are no limits on how much you can submit.

Some features that would help:

- show the current tickets when submitting, remind user how many they have
- forbid submission of more than a few
- give immediate feedback on submit, its taken days to get auto-response at times
- give some way to review your tickets easier
- support personnel need to read the tickets, its quite obvious many times they didn’t

On that last note, that might strike a sore note with you, but the fact is I’ve gotten responses that were so off in left field, no one actually read my ticket. Like reporting a graphics issue and getting a response on how to send payment, etc. I’m sure its easy to do but it does appear to happen a good deal.

But mostly, right now its just very frustrating to submit a ticket. In other systems you feel much more connected and its much easier to see that its being worked on. Here its like a black box, and often you just never get a reply.

When I submit to Sony, or the people running The Secret World, response is excellent, feedback is immediate and accurate, and usually they answer and solve the issues in minutes.

Anyway, its a wonderful game, but my friends I have lost so much time, especially over the last few weeks, with one issue after another. When a friend of ours is down, we all are, its an MMO.
