Guild Wars 2

This might seem petty, but influence is influence especially when its just you earning it. Last night before the update I was receiving influence from renown and events. I have not received any today. I have completed two world events (Answer Riddles and Hunt Dredge as snow leopard). I should have gotten two for my login (??? not sure about that, though I had been getting influence if I had not logged in for a few hours), two for Riddles and two for Dredge taking me from 458 to 464 (or 462). I have received none and remain at 458 influence.

I don’t know if this maters or not, I have noticed that in order to receive influence you have to be in the characters race world. I don’t think that is correct? I took my human from Queensdale and when to Wayfarer foothills. I completed the ice drake brood mother event, Bear renown and raven renown. I believe I should have received 6 influence from those events and I received none. I went back to Queensdale and completed the rogue bull twice and the helping Edna (? the spiders in the orchard) for which I received 6 influence.

I figured influence is influence no matter what area your in as long as you are on your world and complete an event you should get influence towards the guild you currently represent. Is that wrong?

Is there a current issue with earning influence? Should this be happening like this? Should I open a ticket for the 12 influence I did not receive?

Odd, you received login influence and not others? So I am guessing we do get influence for loging in. I am about to log in again. So we’ll see if I get any influence this time. I’ll do another renown also.

Yup, confirmed! not receiving influence for login or events. Maybe it will be fixed tonight?

I tried my Norn last night in both Wayferers Foothills and Queensdale. I completed both World and renown
events and did not receive any influence.

Today, I did the same as above. Now however I received influence while in queensdale and not in wayferers
foothills. I also did not receive any login influenece. Definitely not consistent :-(

I’m definitely not getting influence for events. My wife and I played for a few hours last night doing renown hearts and dynamic events and nothing (except logins) is listed in the guild history. The last entry in the history for influence gained from activities is from 2 days ago.

On a side note, every day we get the daily achievement chest, so we are definitely doing events.

Logins sometimes add influence. Like 3 out of my 5 characters, which are all in the same guild, when I login will add influence. I haven’t yet noticed whether it’s specific characters which don’t add influence. But all are “representing” the guild.

Regarding influence gained from logins, it is as I suspected random. Basically the game makes an attendance check at random intervals and if you’re logged on, the guild gains influence.

Also, events completed while in an overflow map don’t grant influence. However, this doesn’t explain why all our activities on Thursday night didn’t get us any influence because we were not in overflow maps.
