I see that USA is impact also about this.
In Europe, they answered that come from our provider of Internet. We have indeed in other side of the earth same problem than you.
Hope it will be fix soon.
I would like to add that I am also having a rotten time trying to play GW2 at the moment due to unbearable lag, and today, disconnects. I have been running around the house trying to find anything that might be using up all my bandwidth only to find nothing.
For me, it has only been the last couple of days, but today it has been particularly bad as to make the game unplayable, so I came to see if it was me or the game, and I suspect it is the game since I have never had these problems before.
Agreed. Even if it’s “We’re aware this is a problem and we are investigating”. The continued silence is only going to make people wonder if this actually isn’t going to be resolved.

No dice, it’s kittened.
Going to try calling out the devs on the main forum, that normally earns an infraction but with any luck it means someone might notice us.

Perhaps some attention will be given to the squeaky wheel.
Also, this:
This problem is much worse than rendering issues once were for wvw and pvp, and look how much attention that received. Here, we get nothing.

Thanks for finally acknowledging this issue, hundreds now have this problem and I really think it stems from Anet’s end ;/.

They’re looking for common points. It isn’t simply your ISP involved in your connection to Anet, Several different companies could very well end up handling your connection between you an Anet. Your ISP could be 100% fine, but someone who they hand off to could very well be the ball-droppers.

Nice to get a break of the dev silence seriously, thanks for acknowledging the problem (please don’t just blame isp… there are far too many people for a common cause at our ends x.x)
Seafarers Rest
Skill lag, movement lag, general lag. It was fine in morning and afternoon but really became ridiculous around 8pm (gmt) (peak time I guess). Has been since the dragon festival patch

My problem with this is, it has hardly happened on my NA account, but soon as I log onto my EU account, the lag starts and eventually disconnect. If I’m running the network diagnostic, it will most likely be running it through the NA servers, where I don’t really have a problem other than some occasional spikes. Reading over most of the posts, it seems the majority of them are from EU servers as well. I’m attaching my file anyway, and hopefully it contains useful information. If not I would be more than happy to provide any other assistance or info required.

Same automated response over and over!
THIS IS NOT OUR ISPS’ FAULT!
Lag seems to be tied to zones, borderlands etc. You can have no lag at all in red borderlands while its totally unplayable on green bordrlands.
Same with PvE zones. No lag at all in Gandarran Fields, while lagging like hell in Harathi Hinterlands. Going back to Gandarran and no lag at all…WTF?

My real question is, why the support sucks? coming from Latin support and you dont see an answer even if the pope died. Come on! lots of threads open and not a single answer. And the answer in this one…same.

I don’t think it’s a problem with an ISP when different maps in the game give vastly different pings.

It’s also not frame lag, so turning settings down isn’t going to fix anything. It’s a latency issue (for those who don’t know what that means- the packets of information being sent between your computer and the Anet servers are getting lost somewhere along the way. The problem is, no one can seem to figure out where). As of today, I haven’t been able to play the game for 3 days. This is getting really frustrating because I’m missing the dragon bash

Thanks so much for your participation in providing us with these reports. I think for the time being we have enough for further investigation. I have forwarded this information off to the appropriate departments but I don’t have an ETA for any kind of status update.

Can ANet actually fix this instead of acting like this has got anything to do with our ISP? The lag has been getting steadily worse and it’s not a one-time thing. This lag has been going on for ages and WvW is impossible to play.

There seems to be nowhere in game that I can play without epic lag and frequent disconnections during peak hours. It’s not my laptop and I don’t have problems accessing other sites. I lag a bit off during other times of the day, but during peak time I need a bottle of vodka for my sanity and a bank full of gold for all the unnecessary repair costs. =/

FWIW I’m having the same problems tonight as for the last few days, with the added ‘bonus’ of disconnects. I’ll post the networkdiag.log at the weekend when I have more time if I’m still having problems
I’m getting the same thing :/ Only happens at around 7pm GMT up to around 11pm. Makes the game unplayable, whenever I use a skill it either activates 5 seconds later or the icon just flashes and it boots me to Character Select screen.
It’s doing it right now.
Location: London, UK

The game is unplayable between 8-10pm. I get random lag spikes and sometimes I completely freeze. This has been going on for the past two weeks now…

this is getting annoying, haven’t been able to go into a dungeon for about a week now, instant lag as soon as I get into any kind of combat. BTW.
MY INTERNET IS FINE!!!!!!!
A+ 14ms ping 1ms jitter 0% packet loss.
MY COMPUTER IS FINE
Resource monitor whilst I’m having these problems and nothing is above 50% usage.
All drivers up-to-date, defragged, turned off all anti-virus/firewall. tried everything.
So its your end Anet.
We have three computers that run Guild Wars 2 and only one is experiencing lag issues. Ran speed test without GW2 running and with it on all computers. Only the one with lag issues dropped down when GW2 is active. It goes from 20Mbps to .8Mbps once GW2 is executed. I will occasionally go back to normal speeds then back down. All other computers in the same residence continually run at 20Mbps. This started today with the patch. All systems using windows 7 latest service packs, running the same anitvirus and going through the same router and ISP. There must have been an error in the patch for that computer. Internet is fine until GW2 is executed.

Also been lagging. I did not change anything on my computer. Since Dragon Bash, I have been getting lag. My skills take about a second to activate after I press the button.
