I have been experiencing some severe lag problems today, to the extent the game isn’t even in a playable state for me at the moment.

I’m not sure if others have been experiencing this problem today, but I have never had such severe lag problems prior to this.

I’m having the same problem. I’ve never experienced this before other than small hiccups. For the past twenty minutes I’ve been trying to connect to the game, sometimes it lets me on and I’m unable to do much (skills will keep highlighting as if they’re being activated) and during fights there are roughly 10-20 second delays. At the moment I can’t even log into the game, as I get infinite loading on either the launcher, or the first loading screen after selecting a character.

Tested my internet, it’s fine at 50mb download, 10 upload. Though I haven’t tried playing any other online game.

I have the exact same issue. I am able to log in, but not able to do anything at all. This only lasts 3-4mins before i’m dced.

I have been lagging the past week. First only in WvW during peak hours but now increasingly often and in PVE aswell. At worst I might be unable to use any skill in 1 minute or walk trough any door in WvW. Friendly zerg might disappear from my screen and re appear shortly after (accompanied with skill lag).Also I see increasing number of reports of lag on Desolation EU. The thing is I’ve never had this kind of lag in the past year while playing GW2.

I’ve been having the same issue, but for me the lag started about a month ago. Same as you guys, I can log into a character and run around and even see chat, but none of my abilities get sent to the server, and movement is erratic, and after a minute or two I’ll disconnect.

I submitted a ticket, but support wasn’t very helpful.

If you guys find a solution, it’d be great to hear.

I’m having the same latency probs – skills taking 10 secs to 1 min to activate.
Also the disconnects after 10 min and 5 min to port into towns.
This only started within the last 4 days.
It’s not Windows Firewall.
It’s not my wireless adapter settings.
And it’s not Jack the Ripper.

Someone has to have a solution. I suspect it’s something to do with
the server dropping packets from the client.

I’ve been getting the same frequent disconnects for about the past month also – tonight it’s unbearable. Have been attempting to log in now for about an hour and a half, and either it won’t log from the character selection screen, or the game won’t load after selecting the character. On the odd chance that I do connect, I can’t do much of anything before I’m disconnected again.

I am in the US, playing on Vizunah Square server, and I’m not using a wireless connection. Have no other internet slowness, no problems connecting/running a teamspeak/vent/mumble. I wish someone could get this fixed and advise what the problem is.
