Guild Wars 2

I have recently seen a lot of people over the forums having the same black screen problem that I recently had, this is nothing to do with the game. If you are getting a random black screen that still allows you to move your cursor around the screen then it is associated with your router.

The solution to my problem was (I found out that the NetGear D6300 router is the causes of my problem), to stop the problem you must:
– go to ‘www.routerlogin.net’ (Or your router login access)
-put in password ‘admin’ ‘password’
-go to Setup> WAN Setup
– tick ‘Disable Port Scan and DdoS Protection’
– Un-tick ’ Disable IGMP Proxying’
– Then reset reboot the router and you should be fine.

This is also a notification to any Anet Staff, as to advise any router providers that have a device that cause this as I have, this can be a serious internet saftey threat and would like to advise anyone taking this information above and using it, to procced at their own risk.
