Guild Wars 2

When I log into the game the screen takes 3-5 minutes to load the surroundings. This only started to happen recently maybe 3 patches ago. My FPS when i log on is 70+ and my internet is pretty fast so im at a loss as to what is causing this. It doesnt happen 100% of the time but a lot more lately
Anyone got any ideas?

The same thing happened to me. I used to load around 1 min a zone, now it is up to around 3-5 min. And loaded LA can be close to 10min. Never used to have this much of an issue. No idea what I can do for it.

I’m having exactly the same problem – the more congested the area, the longer the load time.
Occasionally I appear to load normally, but then find I can move about, but not use any abilities or interact with the environment or npcs; eventually I will get “lost connection to server, try again later” error message.
It seems that every patch it gets a little worse, to the extent when I dread the next Living Story update because I’m wondering if I’ll be able to play at all.

Try deleting your

%APPDATA%\Guild Wars 2\local.dat

Also, delete any gw2-cache-{######} folders under

%temp%

Then try a “-repair” option http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Command_line_arguments
