Trading Post Error?
Been checking many tp issue threads to figure out how big a problem it is, my tp has crashed my game 90+% of the time since the update… Error messages like browser timed out etc pop up, sent multiple crash reports and still no proper fix.
I am getting the exact same error. I haven’t done anything about it. I just now started looking on the forums to see if it was just me, or if others have been having the same issue. Looks like I’m not the only one. Perhaps they’ll fix it soon.
My problem is similar but not the same. I cannot sell and buy anything.

Errors like these are returned by the browser. Since CoherentUI is build on Chrome, these are the same errors you would find in Chrome.
ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED is as simple as it sounds. CoherentUI was unable to access the internet. This is generally caused by a firewall. Configure your firewall and any other security software to allow CoherentUI_Host.exe access to the internet.

ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED is a DNS issue.
Start by turning off/unplugging your modem for ~30 seconds and turning it back on.
In Windows, open a command prompt with administrator privileges. To do this, search for cmd.exe under the start menu, right click it and run as an administrator.
Under the command prompt, enter the following commands:
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
Reboot the computer.
Open the command prompt again (administrator not required) and test the DNS:
nslookup gemstore-dfw-live.ncplatform.net
If no result is returned, setup and use Google’s DNS.
I have been getting the DNS error as well (since the patch) and tried Healix’s fix, but still haven’t solved the problem. I even set up Google’s DNS, and re-installed. Is there anything else I could try? Or is ArenaNet working on this at the moment and I just need to wait it out?
I even set up Google’s DNS, and re-installed.
Did nslookup return a result?
If it did, and the trading post is returning the error, your security software is the cause. Check your firewall or any other security software and add an exception for CoherentUI_Host.exe. It may be a feature called sandboxing or HIPS that is the cause.
If nslookup also failed, run through the troubleshooting section found on Google’s DNS page.
I was not getting nslookup to return a result at first, but after checking out the Google DNS troubleshooting section and changing settings on my security software, I found the problem to be sandboxing.
Anyone that is using COMODO Internet Security and having this problem might want to try turning the Auto-Sandbox feature off, or add an exception (haven’t tried that yet). Thanks for the help Healix!
I am having the same issue with the Trading Post since the new build. It has worked for one day out of the last five. This is making life very difficult. I’m not getting an error message though. The TP just doesn’t work.
