Trading Post with IIS7 screen (Fixed)
Fixed. This is what I did.
In Windows, press the “Start” button and locate the “Search programs and files” bar at the bottom of the Start Menu.
Type in temp exactly as shown (with the percent signs).
Press “Enter” and a new window should appear with the location of “C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp”
Locate the folder labeled "gw2cache-{RANDOM NUMBERS} and delete it.
That worked, thanks.

Try selecting an item in your inventory, and right clicking, and select sell at trading post. Apparently this will work as well.

Yeah, but as soon as they address this bug, and I am sure they are, its a temp fix until it gets taken care of.

any suggestions if I’m on a mac? not sure which files to remove, if any
This fix does not work for me, unfortunately.
I can however get to the regular Trade Post by clicking on that tab. It seems to be just the gem store that is affected for me.
It s definitely a “temp” Problem.
Log in with my account on a second PC the TP is ok.
Deleting the GW2 temp cache worked for me.
For the OP, do complete malware scans – this looks like a browser hijack to me.

It isn’t a browser hijack, it is the default landing page for an IIS server backend. Obviously Anet is using IIS for the TP (which is done in JS and HTML unlike the C# that most of the rest of the game is done in). It is a problem on their end since the base URL for the TP shouldn’t land you on the deafult landing page. It is something they have to fix. I’m not having this problem, so I haven’t tested the fix someone else recommended, but I would try that if you use Windows. If like my bf you use Mac, then you either have to figure out where the Appdata folder equivalent for Mac is, or sit tight for a fix.

Can you explain how everyone elses is working and a Temp cache flush fixes it for others if it’s something Anet needs to fix? I have no doubt the recent TP changes caused this issue to pop up, but this issue is more likely due to temp browser caches not getting removed properly on certain player’s systems and the IIS backend changing on the Anet end (and the players systems still looking for the OLD TP pages).
I think your analysis of who needs to fix what is lacking.

what Anet should have done was release a script that clears all the cache for gw2 based websites from IE when the patch for the new TP dropped. That would have been the ONLY fix that Anet could/should have delivered.
my only concern now, since its an IIS driven website, what happens when your system default browser is not IE? I have yet to try with FF or Chrome as the default (who knows what IE tie-ins they are using, you know how that goes)

Nothing. It doesn’t matter that they’re using IIS nor does your default browser have any effect on the trading post, which is rendered using a modified version of Chrome.
The reason why deleting the cache is a common fix is because a majority of what makes up the trading post is static, so it’s intended to be cached for long periods of time. When you locally cache a bad copy, you’re stuck with it until it expires, which could take anywhere from a few days to indefinitely.
What ArenaNet could do is simply make a command line option or add deleting the cache to -repair. If they want to go with a more advanced and automatic approach however, considering the JavaScript is capable of communicating with the client, they could add a JavaScript heartbeat, which if not detected would shutdown CoherentUI along with deleting its cache.
Thanks a bunch, this was driving me crazy!
The browser you are using (more specificially, the browser that is your system’s DEFAULT) would not have no effect (in general) on the TP pages using IIS, Apache, or ANY web server software.
How your systems DEFAULT browser is set up and it’s cache would have everything to do with this and I’m not sure Anet could write a script to cover eveyrone’s browser of choice (but I’m just guessing the process would be different for each browser being used).

Why would ArenaNet need to clear the cache of random browsers? The cache used by IE/FF/Chome/Opera/etc has nothing to do with the in-game trading post. The cache used by the trading post is created solely for and managed by GW2/CoherentUI. Your default browser has no effect on the trading post.
Also,

nothave no effect (in general) on the TP pages using IIS, Apache, or ANY web server software.
